At night you hear noises in your backyard, you don\u2019t phone your first cousin who lives in another town, you phone your neighbour! Ran out of some eggs or flour while cooking, you don\u2019t give a shout to your aunt hundreds of kilometres away, you don\u2019t even just hurry to the shops, the easiest thing is just shout over the wall to your neighbour and she will gladly assist you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The neighbour can be divided into three categories:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. A neighbour who is also a relation.<br \/>\n2. A non-relative neighbour and<br \/>\n3. A casual or temporary neighbour with whom one had occasion to live or travel for some time.<br \/>\nAll of them are deserving of fellow-feelings, affection, courtesy and fair treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The Holy Prophet \ufdfa has said that the rights of the neighbour were so overwhelmingly emphasised to him by Angel Jibraeel (AS) that he feared that neighbours might be made partakers of one\u2019s inheritance.<\/p>\n<p>\u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e \u0631\u064e\u0633\u064f\u0648\u0644\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0647\u0650 \u0640 \u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645 \u0640 \u200f &#8220;\u200f \u0645\u064e\u0627 \u0632\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e \u062c\u0650\u0628\u0652\u0631\u064e\u0627\u0626\u0650\u064a\u0644\u064f \u064a\u064f\u0648\u0635\u0650\u064a\u0646\u0650\u064a \u0628\u0650\u0627\u0644\u0652\u062c\u064e\u0627\u0631\u0650 \u062d\u064e\u062a\u0651\u064e\u0649 \u0638\u064e\u0646\u064e\u0646\u0652\u062a\u064f \u0623\u064e\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0647\u064f \u0633\u064e\u064a\u064f\u0648\u064e\u0631\u0651\u0650\u062b\u064f\u0647\u064f \u200f&#8221;<br \/>\n[Sunan Ibn Majah 3674]<\/p>\n<p>In another Hadith, the Holy Prophet \ufdfa said:<br \/>\n&#8220;\u200f \u0644\u0627\u064e \u064a\u064e\u062f\u0652\u062e\u064f\u0644\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0652\u062c\u064e\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0629\u064e \u0645\u064e\u0646\u0652 \u0644\u0627\u064e \u064a\u064e\u0623\u0652\u0645\u064e\u0646\u064f \u062c\u064e\u0627\u0631\u064f\u0647\u064f \u0628\u064e\u0648\u064e\u0627\u0626\u0650\u0642\u064e\u0647\u064f \u200f&#8221;<br \/>\nHe will not enter Paradise whose neighbour is not secure from his wrongful conduct. [Muslim 46]<\/p>\n<p>Again, He \ufdfa says that a person who enjoys a full meal while his neighbour is starving really has no faith in Islam.<br \/>\nThe Holy Prophet \ufdfa was once informed of a woman who used to offer prayers regularly and would often keep fasts and give alms frequently, but her neighbours were sick of her abusive tongue. The Holy Prophet \ufdfa said that such a woman deserved only the fire of Hell. He was then told of another woman who did not possess these virtues but did not trouble her neighbours and the Holy Prophet \ufdfa said that she might be rewarded with a place in Heaven.<\/p>\n<p>The Holy Prophet \ufdfa has laid so much emphasis on rights of neighbours that he has advised that whenever a Muslim brings fruits for his children he should either send some to his neighbours as a gift or at least not throw the peelings outside his house. No one of you should consider insignificant (a gift) to give to her neighbour even if it is (a gift of) the trotters of a sheep&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In brief, Islam requires all neighbours to be loving and cooperative with one another and share their sorrows and happiness. It enjoins that they should establish social relations in which one can depend upon the other and regard his life, honour and property safe among his neighbours.
