Currently Uganda\u2019s Minister of Transport, Wamala had served as Uganda\u2019s former army commander.<\/p>\n<p>The attack took place in a suburb of the capital, Kampala. According to Uganda\u2019s military two gunmen riding on motorcycles staged the attack. Social media images showed bullet holes in the window of a car next to which Wamala stood, in bloody clothes.<\/p>\n<p>Africa New reports that Wamala sustained injuries in both his shoulders. Speaking from his hospital bed, he said, \u201cI have survived.
