According to Reuters the incident occurred when a fuel truck and a bus collided near the village of Kiwawa which is a six hour drive from the country\u2019s capital Kinshasa.<\/p>\n<p>The bus had allegedly been overcrowded and both vehicles exploded into flames on impact, engulfing dozens of people and burning them alive.<\/p>\n<p>Deadly road accidents are common in the DRC, where the roads are full of old vehicles that are often not road worthy, and roads are simply not maintained.<\/p>\n<p>An oil tanker accident in October 2018 killed 53 people along a road into Kinshasa.<\/p>\n<p>Videos shared on social media showed the vehicle on its side, its undercarriage burning and fruit all across the road.
