\u00a0\u201cO Muhajirun, there are five things with which you will be tested, and I seek refuge with Allah lest you live to see them:<\/p>\n

\u00a0Immorality never appears among a people to such an extent that they commit it openly, but plagues and diseases that were never known among the predecessors will spread among them<\/p>\n

They do not cheat in weights and measures, but they will be stricken with famine, severe calamity and the oppression of their rulers.<\/p>\n

They do not withhold the Zakah of their wealth, but rain will be withheld from the sky and was it not for the animals, no rain would fall on them.<\/p>\n

They do not break their covenant with Allah and His Messenger, but Allah will enable their enemies to overpower them and take some of what is in their hands.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Unless their leaders rule according to the Book of Allah and seek all good from that which Allah has revealed, Allah will cause them to fight one another.<\/p>\n

This is narrated by ibn Majah.<\/p>\n

The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa has called on the Muslim community to engage in the following activities:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Make sincere Tawbah with regret and remorse.<\/li>\n
  2. Leave shameless dressing and become modest.<\/li>\n
  3. Stop all shameful relations.<\/li>\n
  4. Stop all forms of Zina.<\/li>\n
  5. Stop viewing indecent and shameful scenes on TV and social media.<\/li>\n
  6. Perform Salah with Jamat.<\/li>\n
  7. Make abundant Dhikr and Istighfar.<\/li>\n
  8. Discharge your Zakah.<\/li>\n
  9. Increase your charity.<\/li>\n
  10. Do not indulge in extravagance.<\/li>\n
  11. Respect your parents.<\/li>\n
  12. Desist from interest.<\/li>\n
  13. Promote virtue and prohibit vice<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Observing all of this will inshallah be a means of attracting the mercy of Almighty Allah.<\/p>\n
