Before blaming the teacher or the institution check yourself. It is incumbent on the student to instil in himself or herself lofty character, towards his teacher, institution, and fellow pupils. It is part of good manners that the student clearly informs the teacher of his intention and exactly what he aims to achieve from his studies.<\/p>\n
Prophet Musa \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0644\u0627\u0645 informed Khadir of his intention of seeking the special knowledge that Allah had bestowed him with and he politely asked,
\n\u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e \u0644\u064e\u0647\u064f \u0645\u064f\u0648\u0633\u064e\u0649 \u0647\u064e\u0644\u0652 \u0623\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0651\u0628\u0650\u0639\u064f\u0643\u064e \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0623\u064e\u0646 \u062a\u064f\u0639\u064e\u0644\u0650\u0651\u0645\u064e\u0646\u0650 \u0645\u0650\u0645\u064e\u0651\u0627 \u0639\u064f\u0644\u0650\u0651\u0645\u0652\u062a\u064e \u0631\u064f\u0634\u0652\u062f\u064b\u0627
\n\u201cMay I follow you so that you teach me something of the knowledge which you have been taught?\u201d (Al Kahf 18: 66).
\nHe also pledged to Khadir that he will be humble and patient and strive to give off his best. Musa \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0644\u0627\u0645 said:<\/p>\n
\u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e \u0633\u064e\u062a\u064e\u062c\u0650\u062f\u064f\u0646\u0650\u064a \u0625\u0650\u0646 \u0634\u064e\u0627\u0621 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u064f \u0635\u064e\u0627\u0628\u0650\u0631\u064b\u0627 \u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u0623\u064e\u0639\u0652\u0635\u0650\u064a \u0644\u064e\u0643\u064e \u0623\u064e\u0645\u0652\u0631\u064b\u0627
\nMusa \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0644\u0627\u0645 said: \u201cIf Allah wills, you will find me patient, and I will not disobey your command.\u201d (Al Kahf 18: 69)
\nBy the student doing this in the initial days of study, it will instil confidence about him in the heart of the teacher and assist him in fulfilling his duties to the student as well as keeping the teacher pleased with him.<\/p>\n
A wise man once said:
\nThe teacher and the doctor both
\nAre not sincere in advising when they are not honoured
\nSo bear patiently your ailment if you adopt harshness with your doctor
\nAnd be content with your ignorance if you offend your teacher.
\nAnother important lesson is, if you intend something important in your studies, say \u201cIn Sha Allah!\u201d
\nMusa \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0644\u0627\u0645 told Khadir, \u201cIf Allah wills, you will find me patient\u201d. He did not merely say: \u201cYou will find me patient\u201d. The lesson we derive here is to always keep the consciousness of Allah alive in the heart and His remembrance fresh on the tongue. Seek His help at every step.<\/p>\n
Imam Abu Hanifah (rahimahullah) said: \u201cI attained knowledge through praising and being grateful to Allah, thus, whenever I understood any matter of jurisprudence or wisdom I used to say: \u2018Praise be to Allah The Most High\u2019, and thus my knowledge was increased.\u201d<\/p>\n
If one adopts piety and is conscious of Allah as a student then his or her knowledge will hold great benefit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
