Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan, is set to hear the order being passed for his bail plea by the Special Courts on October 20.<\/p>\n

Accusations have been made that the 23-year-old arrest and insufficient evidence of the case might have a political agenda.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old Khan and seven others were arrested and detained on charges “related to possession, consumption and sale of illegal substances” after an anti-drug agency raided a cruise party on October 2 in Mumbai.<\/p>\n

According to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), a variety of drugs included cocaine, charas, ecstasy, mephedrone, hydroponic weed, and Rs1.33 lakh in cash, were recovered in the raid.<\/p>\n

Even though no drugs were found in Aryans’ possession, according to his lawyers, the NCB argues that Aryans WhatsApp messages indicate that he might be linked to an international drug cartel.<\/p>\n

Multimedia journalist from Delhi, Asma Arafa, spoke to Radio Islam regarding the controversy and assumptions that Aryan Khan’s arrest might be linked to his Muslim identity.<\/p>\n

“I think it is because of his Muslim identity, and when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came into power, Shah Rukh was called an anti-nationalist in 2015 because of the growing religious intolerance in the country,” she said.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the case, the sessions court rejected a bail plea when Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Anil Singh argued that the appeal was not “maintainable”.<\/p>\n

Fans, colleagues from the film fraternity and politician Nawab Malik, a senior Nationalist Congress Party minister in the Maharashtra government, have voiced their support for the Khan family.<\/p>\n

“Aryan Khan is a scapegoat to send across a message to India that we can do anything to a superstar’s son,” Arafa ends off.<\/p>\n
