Digging Tools:<\/strong>
a spade and a fork are essential and a pick up is also very useful, especially in hard ground and as  a lever. a smaller lady spade and fork are also handy, especially if you are a lady.<\/p>\n

a well made rake is a must unless your garden is tiny, and also a hoe, especially if you have a veg plot. go for solid quality. there are a number of new imports n the market test for weight and look for welds and finishing before you buy. <\/p>\n

Hand tools:<\/strong><\/p>\n

 two trowells one broad and fthe other narrow a hand fork and hand rake and a weeder make a good basic set.<\/p>\n

once again go for qaulity a wooden dibber for making holes for seeds seedlings or bulbs is also handy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

cutting:<\/strong><\/p>\n

secateurs long handled lopper hedge clipper and pruning saw are all basics. once again simple quality construction and matereials count.<\/p>\n

garden gloves:<\/strong><\/p>\n

2 pairs of nitrile rubber palmed garden gloves, if one gets really wet and dirty you need a spare to keep working.<\/p>\n

A hose, sprinkle and spray nozzle:<\/strong><\/p>\n

watering cans: having 2 makes for balanced carrying and easy feeding. sebor makes simple open – top plastic ones that are lighter to carry.<\/p>\n

A wheelbarrow: <\/strong>
essential  even for lugging the odd bag of compost from one corner of  your postage stamp to another and for mixing potting soil. one with a fat tyre makes for much easier wheeling.<\/p>\n

Compression pump spray:<\/strong><\/p>\n
