We often recite the word “fadhl in the Holy Qur’an and don’t realise the massive impact this word has in our lives and the multiple meanings that one word has. Allah Ta’ala uses one word to highlight the extensive nature of His Grace upon us . He highlights that He is \u0630\u0648 \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0636\u0644 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0638\u064a\u0645 “One of Great Grace” and further emphasizes that every single thing that is given to us ,every achievement and every ability is only from His Grace. This lies within His control and He gives it as He so pleases.<\/p>\n

What is fadhl?<\/strong>
\n\u0627\u0644\u0641\u0636\u0644 \u0647\u0648 \u0627\u0644\u0632\u0651\u064a\u0627\u062f\u0629 \u0641\u064a \u0627\u0644\u062e\u064a\u0631 \u0627\u0648 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u062c\u0631<\/h1>\n

Fadhl is the extra bounties in good and reward that is bestowed upon us from Allah Ta\u2019ala.<\/p>\n

We often speak about our achievements or the achievements of our children with such pride and happiness , we may say mashallah and alhamdulillah yet we constantly attribute these successes to our own efforts. But this ayah \u0630\u0627\u0644\u0643 \u0641\u0636\u0644 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u064a\u0624\u062a\u064a\u0647 \u0645\u0646 \u064a\u0634\u0627\u0621 “that is the Grace of Allah ” should be the reality of every accomplishment of our lives.<\/p>\n

Once we remove our own abilities or qualifications we realise that those achievements are closely tied to Allah’s will and Royal Decision.<\/p>\n

The different usage of the word Fadhl in the Qur’an<\/strong>:<\/h1>\n

    The greatest joy for a believer \u2013 the fadhl of the Qur\u2019an in our lives<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Say! With the Grace of Allah and His mercy \u2013 so in that they should find joy , it is better than that which they have gathered.<\/p>\n

    Explaining this grace of Allah , in Ruhul Ma\u2019ani we see that Anas (ra) narrates a hadith that explains the grace of Allah to be the Holy Qur\u2019an in your life , and His mercy is your ability to recite the Qur\u2019an correctly. The greatest fadhl in our lives in this world is the Holy Qur\u2019an in our lives.<\/p>\n

      The ni\u2019mah of Prophethood upon Nabi (s). “The Grace of Allah was great upon you”.<\/strong>( \u0648\u064e\u0643\u0627\u0646\u064e \u0641\u064e\u0636\u0652\u0644\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u0650 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0643\u064e \u0639\u064e\u0638\u0650\u064a\u0645\u0627\u064b )<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

      Allah regards your daily rizq \u2013 your sustenance a great fadhl.<\/strong> We must understand that all that we earn is in no way attached to our own efforts or our abilities. Rather it is in its entirety a ni\u2019mah from Allah. There are times when He gives more and other times when He gives less. We might focus on the \u2018hustle harder mindframe \u2013 or you have to work hard ideology \u2013 however the reality is that we have to work and try as hard as possible but ultimately we have to place our total understanding that whatever sustenance comes to us is only by His immense Grace. ( \u0641\u064e\u0625\u0650\u0630\u064e\u0627 \u0642\u064f\u0636\u0650\u064a\u064e\u062a\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0635\u0651\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627\u0629\u064f \u0641\u064e\u0627\u0646\u0652\u062a\u064e\u0634\u0650\u0631\u064f\u0648\u0627 \u0641\u0650\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0623\u064e\u0631\u0652\u0636\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0627\u0628\u0652\u062a\u064e\u063a\u064f\u0648\u0627 \u0645\u0650\u0646\u0652 \u0641\u064e\u0636\u0652\u0644\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0647\u0650 )10<\/span>This is mentioned in Surah jumu\u2019ah wherein Allah Ta\u2019ala says: \u201cSo when the Salaah comes to an end , so spread in the earth and seek the Grace of Allah.\u201d<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The Fadhl of Iman and Belief in the oneness of Allah.<\/strong> Allah highlight this is Surah Yusuf when Yusuf (As) makes the statement that the favour of following the Deen of Allah and not being left to Kufr and Shirk.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        “That is the Grace of Allah upon us and upon the people”<\/p>\n

          The greatest fadhl of Jannah in the Aakhirah<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          And give gladtidings to the believers that without a doubt they will be granted from Allah a great Fadhl \u2013 Jannah.<\/p>\n

          6. The fadhl of forgiving our sins and overlooking our sins even when we err and we fall short in our ibadah. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

          Allah Ta’ala says: glory be to Him , Most Certainly Allah is one of Grace upon people<\/p>\n

            Delaying our punishment \u2013<\/strong> even though we sin to such an extent, yet Allah grants us a delay in His Azaab so we are able to make taubah.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            “And if it were not for the Grace of Allah upon you and His mercy in this world and the Next , you would have been afflicted by a Great punishment”<\/p>\n

            This word has been highlighted in so many different contexts in the Holy Qur\u2019an. It grounds us to the real grace of Allah and should inspire us towards understanding the ultimate grace and kindness of Allah Ta\u2019ala upon us.
