{"id":72307,"date":"2022-10-04T09:00:40","date_gmt":"2022-10-04T07:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/?p=72307"},"modified":"2022-10-03T13:24:11","modified_gmt":"2022-10-03T11:24:11","slug":"love-for-fasting-part-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/love-for-fasting-part-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Love for Fasting &#8211; Part 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fasting we know is a very meritorious act and in fact is one of the pillars of Islam with fasting being compulsory during the Holy month of Ramadhan.<\/p>\n<p>The reward for fasting is tremendous and probably the greatest virtue of fasting is the famous Hadith-e-Qudsi wherein Allah himself says:<\/p>\n<p>\u0639\u0646 \u0623\u0628\u064a \u0647\u0631\u064a\u0631\u0629 \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u060c \u0642\u0627\u0644\u200f:\u200f \u0642\u0627\u0644 \u0631\u0633\u0648\u0644 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645 \u200f:\u200f \u200f&#8221;\u200f\u0642\u0627\u0644 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0632 \u0648\u062c\u0644\u200f:\u200f \u0643\u0644 \u0639\u0645\u0644 \u0627\u0628\u0646 \u0622\u062f\u0645 \u0644\u0647 \u0625\u0644\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0635\u064a\u0627\u0645\u060c \u0641\u0625\u0646\u0647 \u0644\u064a \u0648\u0623\u0646\u0627 \u0623\u062c\u0632\u064a \u0628\u0647\u200f.\u200f<\/p>\n<p>Hadhrat Abu Hurairah RA reported: The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said, &#8220;Allah the Exalted and Majestic said: &#8216;Every act of the son of Adam is for him, except As-Siyam (the fasting) which is (exclusively) for Me, and I will reward him for it.&#8217; [Bukhari and Muslim]<\/p>\n<p>We are encouraged to take our pattern and inspiration from the model of our beloved Prophet Muhammad \ufdfa, both as to his attitudes and as to his practices. He of course fasted daily throughout Ramadan without \u201cdays off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>By all accounts, his diet was much sparser than the tremendous variety we have available today. He could not look forward to an if\u1e6dar (fast-breaking) banquet. He would sleep half of the night and stand in prayer for a third of it and then sleep for a sixth of it.
