KADWA<\/p>\n<p>SUNNYSIDE CLASSICS<\/p>\n<p>Quick and easy way<\/p>\n<p>This is a Indian style poytjie<\/p>\n<p>1 will work on a 1 kg basic recipe<br \/>\n1 kg of boney lamb or beef<br \/>\nTrimmed and cut to equal sized pieces<br \/>\n1 kg vegetables of choice including potatoes<br \/>\nOr more if u like..u can buy the roasted veg pack or ready poytjie mix<br \/>\nCarrots..peppers..corn.marrows..green beans..onion..sweet potato..butternut..peas<\/p>\n<p>3 large tomatoes chopped<br \/>\n1 can of tomatoes with herbs<br \/>\nFew whole green chillies<br \/>\n2 cups of fried vagaar onions\/fired onions<br \/>\nHalf cup of ghee<br \/>\n2 tsp ginger garlic paste<br \/>\n2 tsp crushed garlic<br \/>\n2 tsp chilli masala paste..optional<br \/>\n2 tblsp lemon juice or vinegar<br \/>\n3 tsp of mixed masala I used Packo..or Rajah<br \/>\n1 full tsp tumeric<br \/>\n1 tsp crushed red chillies<br \/>\n2 tsp dhana jeeraa powder<br \/>\n1 tsp pepper<br \/>\n3 tsp aromat..or salt to taste<br \/>\nHandful of curry leaves<br \/>\n2 tsp tomato paste<br \/>\nMarinate the meat and set aside<\/p>\n<p>The vegetables I steam in a pot separately.\u00a0And set aside Potatoes can be cooked separately depending how long they take to cook.\u00a0So heat up the pot ..the way to regulate your heat is to add or remove hot coals from under the pot.\u00a0Add in the marinated meat with the ghee.\u00a0Braise for a while..making sure u mix regularly.\u00a0To avoid scorching the bottom.\u00a0Close and allow to cook in the juices that the meat releases.\u00a0When the water burns out add in boiling water.\u00a0About 1 litre and leave to cook and simmer.\u00a0Check if the meat is tender.\u00a0Then add in the chopped tomatoes and 1 can of tomato.\u00a0Leave to cook till tomato water burns out.\u00a0At this stage u adjust salt and spices.\u00a0The vegetables have been steamed but are still crunchy..use just enough water to steam.\u00a0Add this to the meat and top up with 1 litre of water..leave to cook for 15 minutes.\u00a0Careful not to scorch..and mixing very gently to avoid mushy vegetables.\u00a0Throw in the whole green chillies.\u00a0Garnish with dhania
