As Muslims we are taught to love our holy Prophet <\/span>\ufdfa<\/span> more than anyone, but do we know how much he loved us? Do we know about his great compassion? Let us today take a brief look at the love and compassion which he <\/span>\ufdfa<\/span> had for his us \u2013 his Ummah.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is full of concern for us:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Allah explicitly mentions in the Holy Quran:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There has come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; full of concern for you, to the Believers kind and compassionate. [Tawbah 9: 128]<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He prayed for us after every Salah:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hadhrat A\u2019ishah RA narrates \u201cOnce, when I saw the Prophet in a good mood, I said to him: \u201cO Messenger of Allah! Supplicate to Allah for me!\u201d So, he said: \u201cO Allah! Forgive \u2018A\u2019ishah her past sins and her future sins, the sins which she has hidden and the sins which have been made apparent.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So I began smiling, to the point that my head fell into the lap of the Messenger of Allah <\/span>\ufdfa<\/span> out of joy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Messenger of Allah said to me: \u201cDoes my supplication make you happy?\u201d I replied: \u201cAnd how can your supplication not make me happy?\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He then said: \u201cBy Allah, it is the supplication that I make for my Ummah in every prayer.\u201d [Ibn Hibban, Al Bazzar]<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He saved his final dua for us:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hadhrat Abu Huraira RA said: The Prophet of Allah (<\/span>\ufdfa<\/span>) said: There is for every apostle a prayer which is granted, but every prophet showed haste in his prayer. I have, however, reserved my prayer for the intercession of my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection, and it would be granted, if Allah so willed, in case of everyone amongst my Ummah provided he dies without associating anything with Allah. Hadhrat Anas ibn Malik RA reported: The Messenger of Allah <\/span>\ufdfa<\/span> said, \u201cI wish I could meet my brothers.\u201d The Prophet\u2019s companions said, \u201cAre we not your brothers?\u201d The Prophet said, \u201cYou are my companions, but my brothers are those who have faith in me although they never saw me.\u201d (Musnad Ah\u0323mad 12169)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He did not want Islam to be too difficult for us:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Messenger of Allah observed Taraweeh prayer in the Masjid one night and people prayed with him. He repeated the following night and the number of participants grew. The companions congregated the third and fourth night, but the Messenger did not show up. In the morning he told them, \u201cI saw what you did last night, but nothing prevented me from joining you except my fear that it might be made mandatory on you in Ramadan.\u201d (Bukhari and Muslim)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When the Prophet sent any of his companions on a mission, he would say, \u201cGladden people and do not scare them; make things easy and do not make them difficult.\u201d [Bukhari and Muslim]<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He was sent as a mercy to all the worlds:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
