The ANC has stated that it will not support the adoption of the Section 89 panel report. Parliament has postponed the vote on whether the President should be impeached by a week for a physical meeting on the 13th, which will, in all probability, take place at the Cape Town City Hall.<\/p>\n

The ANC\u2019s national executive committee held a tense meeting on Monday in which some of his opponents argued for him to be censured. A Section 89 report found that Ramaphosa has a case to answer to the burglary at his Phala Phala farm.<\/p>\n

There is uncertainty about the electoral outcome of the upcoming conference of the ANC. Members of parliament will vote in public rather than privately, making the odds of defiance less as action will be taken against those who do not abide by orders.<\/p>\n

In conversation with Radio Islam International, political analyst Dr Ntsikelelo Breakfast expressed his view in agreement that the case is similar to that of former President Jacob Zuma, where the ANC defends its President against all odds.<\/p>\n

\u201cSame script, different cast.\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

According to Dr Breakfast, the actions of Ramaphosa may deem the outcome against him. However, should the outcome result in favour of Ramaphosa, he might become stronger.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the inner circles of the ANC and the country have been divided concerning Ramaphosa\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Opposition parties need to be fixed as a unified force, and the DA might not participate in the voting, per Dr Breakfast.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe issue of Phala Phala was not reported in good faith by Arthur Fraser, there are other political dynamics at play,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
