{"id":7653,"date":"2007-08-31T07:00:23","date_gmt":"2007-08-31T05:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2007\/08\/31\/yeast-tea-ring-2\/"},"modified":"2007-08-31T07:00:23","modified_gmt":"2007-08-31T05:00:23","slug":"yeast-tea-ring-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/yeast-tea-ring-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Yeast tea ring"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font face=\"Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" style=\"font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px; color: #000000\" color=\"#0000ff\">Ingredients :<\/p>\n<p>4 cups flour <br \/>1 tsp salt <br \/>1 pkt dry yeast<br \/>50 grams butter <br \/>&frac14; cup sugar <br \/>1 egg <br \/>&frac12; cup milk<br \/>&frac12; cup water <br \/>Filling :<br \/>4 Tblsp butter <br \/>&frac14; cup sugar <br \/>Beat butter and sugar well<br \/>1 tsp cinnamon <br \/>&frac12; cup fruit mix <br \/>1\/3 cup cut cherries<br \/>2 Tblsp chopped pecan nuts<\/p>\n<p>Melt the butter and add it to lukewarm water and milk. Add sugar and egg to above and beat. Yeast, flour and salt. Add the above and make a soft dough. Knead well. Allow to rise in a warm place until double in volume. Punch down and roll into a rectangle. Smear with butter\/sugar mixture. Sprinkle cinnamon, pecan nuts and cherries onto dough. Roll like a swiss roll and join the two ends to form a circle. Use a knife or a scissor and make cuts on the T-ring. Allow to rise again. Brush with egg. Bake in pre-heated oven at 180&deg; C till golden in colour.
