Therefore, a purified suhoor is beneficial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Faaizah Laher recommends apple juice as an excellent drink for suhoor as it provides significant benefits, including keeping good energy levels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For iftaar, we need foods that provide the energy we need and are fulfilling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Laher recommends meals with great energy sources, including proteins, fibre and slow-digesting carbohydrates. She provided a comprehensive list of wholesome and sunnah foods, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Oats &amp; honey with milk or cottage cheese is high in protein.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Use leftover meals from the previous iftaar:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Curry and vegetables<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Protein-filled meals:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Eggs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fish<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Chicken<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Providing children with wholesome meals during Ramadan is a considerable challenge for mothers. Laher provided some tips for making their meals flavourful. She added that eating anything should be suitable as long as they eat and gave the following as examples:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A smoothie blend of oats, yoghurt, and honey<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Scrambled eggs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Bananas provide energy and keep one satiated<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Toast with peanut butter<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Listen to the full interview with Ml.
