The N2 north near Chesterville, Durban, was closed in the early hours of Tuesday morning following protest action on Monday night.
\n<\/span>
\nDurban Metro Police say the road will remain closed until further notice as clean-up and recovery operations occur after Monday night’s violent protests.
\n<\/span>
\nAccording to Boysie Zungu, Metro Police Spokesperson, the reason for the protest is unclear. He added that protestors burnt a truck with vehicles.
\n<\/span>
\nHe further appealed to motorists to avoid the area and use alternative routes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, motorists travelling on the N11 this morning, in the vicinity of the Dannhauser and Normandien turn-off, are urged to be cautious after a truck overturned. It is unclear what led to the accident, but conditions in the area are misty. Reports of injuries were not immediately available.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
