Parents can start applying for placements for their children for Grades one and eight for the 2024 academic year from tomorrow. The Gauteng MEC for Education Catome Chiloane announced that the 2024 online application for these two grades would open tomorrow and end on the 14th of July.<\/p>\n

MEC Matome Chiloane assured parents that the portal had been improved, and the system’s capacity had been increased to improve its ability to process multiple applications simultaneously.<\/p>\n

Spokesperson Steve Mabona spoke to Radio Islam International. He said there are few changes in the application process compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n

“We normally do a review and assessments of our system are conducted in order identify areas that we need to improve,” he says.<\/p>\n

Mabona said the portal had been improved to make it less arduous for parents and other caregivers regarding languages, an element of identifying parents at an application process indicating home and additional languages suitable for students.<\/p>\n
