An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 struck Central Turkey on Tuesday, 25 July 2023 at\u00a005:44:50 (UTC), according to the United States Geological Survey. The depth of the earthquake was measured at a depth of 10km, the report said.<\/p>\n

The quake occurred in the south of Turkey near the city of Adana, close to the Syrian border, The National News <\/em>reported.<\/p>\n

Turkey and Syria are still recovering from the two earthquakes that struck the country on February 6 of this year. Turkey recorded 44\u00a0374 deaths, while a total of 5\u00a0951 were recorded after the earthquake in February.<\/p>\n

Yanus Sezer, Turkey\u2019s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority said that there is no negative situation at the moment in Turkey after the earthquake in Kozan district of Adana province today. He provided reassurance that field scanning studies are ongoing, and the teams remain on high alert.<\/p>\n

Recently, Turkey was on the radar when it started deporting Syrian refugees from the country.<\/p>\n
