{"id":8180,"date":"2007-08-31T07:48:22","date_gmt":"2007-08-31T05:48:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2007\/08\/31\/kitchro-290507\/"},"modified":"2007-08-31T07:48:22","modified_gmt":"2007-08-31T05:48:22","slug":"kitchro-290507","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/kitchro-290507\/","title":{"rendered":"Kitchro (29.05.07)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> 2 cups whole wheat<br \/><font size=\"-1\"><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">   \u00bd gram dholl \u0096 chana dhal <br \/>   \u00bc cup barley <br \/>   1 cup left over rice\/ kitchri<br \/>   1 kg meat pieces ( boney)<br \/>   1 tsp ginger garlic <br \/>   2 medium onions<br \/>   3 sticks tujh<br \/>   3 pods elachie<br \/>   3 whole pepper<br \/>   3 cloves<br \/>   \u00bd cup oil<br \/>   2 tomatoes- optional<br \/>   3 green chillies- ground spices \u0096 tumeric powder, dhana jeeru, salt and    little chilli owder<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Kachoomar ( aamli- tamarind)<br \/>   \u00bd cup aamli juice <br \/>   1 onion \u0096 slice and wash in rough salt green chille sliced<br \/>   Mint<br \/>   Crispy fried onions<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Method:<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">1. Soak whole wheat, gram    chana dholl and barley over night.<br \/>   2. Boil and liquidize coarsely.<br \/>   3. In a large pot put oil and add cut onions, tujh, cloves, elachie and pepper.<br \/>   4. When onions are light pink, and meat, ginger garlic and green chillkies.<br \/>   5. Lower heat and cook until meat is braised.<br \/>   6. Add all spices ground tomatoes and allow to simmer.<br \/>   7. Then add liquidized wheat, barley and gram dholl- add some water and boil    over low heat.<br \/>   8. Stir continuously to prevent sticking.<br \/>   9. Boil until thick.<br \/>   10. Before serving make vagaar with onions and ghee and add to pot.<br \/>   11. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with dhania or mint.<br \/>   12.
