{"id":8183,"date":"2007-08-31T07:52:09","date_gmt":"2007-08-31T05:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2007\/08\/31\/meat-akni\/"},"modified":"2007-08-31T07:52:09","modified_gmt":"2007-08-31T05:52:09","slug":"meat-akni","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/meat-akni\/","title":{"rendered":"Meat akni"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"+2\"><strong> <\/strong><\/font> <\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\"><strong>Ingredients<br \/>   <\/strong><\/font><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\">20ml    cooking oil<br \/>   2 large onions, finely chopped<br \/>   1kg lamb\/mutton pieces (or thick rib)<br \/>   1 green chilli finely chopped<br \/>   15ml salt or to taste<br \/>   15ml fine ginger &amp; garlic masala<br \/>   5ml jeeru powder<br \/>   15ml ground coriander powder<br \/>   5ml ground fennel\/somph<br \/>   15ml turmeric<br \/>   15ml chilli powder<br \/>   1 whole clove<br \/>   3 cardamom pods<br \/>   3 pieces stick cinnamon<br \/>   4 medium potatoes peeled and quarted<br \/>   100ml hot water as needed<br \/>   4 x 250ml uncooked rice<br \/>   60ml chopped dhunya<\/font><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\"><strong>Method<\/strong><\/font><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\"><br \/>   1. Heat oil in a large pot and add the onions and braise until golden brown    and soft.<br \/>   2. Add the meat, spices and cook covered over medium heat until meat is tender<br \/>   3. Add potatoes and water and cook for another 10 mins.<br \/>   4. Pour over rice, add enough water to cook the rice, Fast boil rice without    stirring.<br \/>   5. When settled stir well and steam covered for 20\/30 minutes or until the rice    is done.<br \/>   6.
