The murder of rapper Kiernan \u201cAKA\u201d Forbes and his friend Tebello \u201cTibz\u201d Motsoane shocked the nation and sparked a massive manhunt for their killers. Six months after the brutal shooting outside a Durban restaurant, KwaZulu-Natal police say they have identified the suspects and are closing in on the mastermind.<\/span><\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with eNCA, KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi revealed how a team of dedicated investigators used advanced technology and intelligence to unravel the mystery behind the assassination. He said that they have collected and analysed over 25 phones, hours of CCTV footage, and forensic evidence from the crime scene and the getaway car.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have identified the shooters. We have the murder weapon. We have the getaway car,\u201d Mkhwanazi said. He added that some suspects are already in jail for other crimes, while others are still at large. He said that they are building a solid case before they make arrests.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mkhwanazi said that the motive for the killing is still under investigation, but he hinted that it could be related to AKA\u2019s involvement in politics and business. He said that AKA had made some enemies in high places, who may have hired professional hitmen to eliminate him.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are dealing with a very sophisticated network of criminals, who have connections and resources. They planned this operation very carefully and executed it with precision,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mkhwanazi said that he is confident that justice will be served for AKA and Tibz, who were both respected and loved by many. He said that he is determined to expose and arrest the mastermind behind the murder, who he described as \u201ca very dangerous person\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
