{"id":8276,"date":"2007-09-04T02:04:45","date_gmt":"2007-09-04T00:04:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2007\/09\/04\/spring-roll-filling\/"},"modified":"2007-09-04T02:04:45","modified_gmt":"2007-09-04T00:04:45","slug":"spring-roll-filling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/spring-roll-filling\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring roll filling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"\/Documents%20and%20Settings\/Research\/Desktop\/recipe\/Savouries\/Spring%20Roll%20Filling.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\"> <\/font><\/a><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">  <\/font><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <a><font size=\"-1\">1 packet ( 50sheets) spring    roll pastry<\/font><\/a><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"> <\/p>\n<p><font size=\"-1\">1 large onion, finely chopped<\/font><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   1 tablespoon garlic crushed<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   60 g butter<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   4 cups chicken fillet, cubed<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   1 &frac12; teaspoon salt<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   pounded green chillies , to taste<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   1 teaspoon fine black pepper<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   2 teaspoons aromat<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   2 teaspoons chicken spice<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   2 teaspoons lemon pepper<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   2 cups cubed pepper, red yellow and green,<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   &frac12; cup frozen corn<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   &frac12; cup milk<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   2 tablespoons maizena<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   1 cup grated cheese<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"-1\">&frac14; cup cake flour<\/font><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   8 tablespoons water<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p> <\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   beaten egg<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   breadcrumbs<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">Stir the onion, garlic and    butter in a pot over heat until onions are soft.<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">Add the chicken, spices,    pepper and corn. Cook until chicken is tender, stirring occassionaly.<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">Stir the milk and corn flour    together in a cup to form a paste, add to the chicken and continue cooking until    the mixture thickens.<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">Remove from heat and allow    to cool. Add the cheese and mix well.<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">Mix the flour and water together    in a bowl to form a smooth paste. Set aside.<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">Place a spoonful of filling    at the corner of a pastry sheet. Roll up, turning twice and tuck ends in. Moisten    sides with flour paste and continue rolling until the end. Repeat with the remaining    filling and sheets.<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">Dip in beaten egg and roll    in crumbs.<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/font><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/p>\n<p><a><font size=\"-1\">   Deep fry spring rolls in hot oil until well browned.
