This keeps the yolk in the centre and helps to keep the egg fresh.<\/p>\n<p>2 &#8211; Peel a banana from the bottom and you won&#39;t have to pick the little &quot;stringy things&quot; off of it. That&#39;s how other primates do it. Take your bananas apart when you get home from the store. If you leave them connected at the stem, they ripen faster.<\/p>\n<p>3 &#8211; Store your opened chunks of cheese in aluminum foil. It will stay fresh much longer and not mold!<\/p>\n<p>4 &#8211; Heat up leftover pizza in a nonstick skillet on top of the stove, set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No soggy micro pizza.<\/p>\n<p>5 &#8211; To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins that were refrigerated, place them in a microwave with a cup of water. The increased moisture will keep the food moist and help it reheat faster.<\/p>\n<p>6 &#8211; To prevent eggshells from cracking, add a pinch of salt to the water before boiling.<\/p>\n<p>7 &#8211; If eggshells crack during boiling add a little vinegar to the water. This will set the white<\/p>\n<p>8 &#8211; Before buying grapes you should shake the bunch gently, if grapes fall of the bunch is not fresh. To store grapes, wrap loosely in newspaper and keep in the dark.<\/p>\n<p>9 &#8211; If citrus fruits like lemons, limes, oranges etc have been stored in a fridge, microwave each one for about 4 seconds to increase the amount of juice produced.<\/p>\n<p>10 &#8211; Potatoes will take food stains off your fingers. Just slice and rub the raw potato on the stains and rinse with water.<\/p>\n<p>11 &#8211; If you happen to over-salt a pot of soup, just drop in a peeled potato. The potato will absorb the excess salt. <\/p>\n<p>12 &#8211; If you are making gravy and accidentally burn it, just pour it into a clean pan and continue cooking it. Add sugar a little at a time, tasting as you go to avoid over-sugaring it.
