A search was launched after five men in their 20s were found killed execution-style in a RDP house this week.<\/p>\n

Detectives in Inanda, a township situated northwest of Durban, have made a breakthrough in the recent mass killing in the area.<\/p>\n

Kwa-Zulu Natal police spokesperson Brigadier Jay Naicker says the team of detectives worked around the clock to connect the dots in solving the case.<\/p>\n

Naicker said Inanda detectives, who found the bodies of five men in an RDP house in Amaoti on Wednesday, followed leads which led them to a KwaMashu clinic on Thursday.<\/p>\n

“Information led the team to a clinic in KwaMashu, where three suspects were arrested. They were found in possession of eight rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n

“Further investigation led detectives to a house at Amaoti where police were met with gunfire. During a shootout, a 60-year-old man believed to be a traditional healer used by the suspects was fatally wounded,” said Naicker<\/p>\n

The man was found in possession of a revolver with three rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n

Naicker said the arrested suspects, between 19 and 28 years old, are expected to appear before the Ntuzuma magistrate’s court on Monday.<\/p>\n
