{"id":8511,"date":"2008-06-05T12:30:42","date_gmt":"2008-06-05T10:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2008\/06\/05\/steak-and-tomato-bake-030608\/"},"modified":"2008-06-05T12:30:42","modified_gmt":"2008-06-05T10:30:42","slug":"steak-and-tomato-bake-030608","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/steak-and-tomato-bake-030608\/","title":{"rendered":"Steak and tomato bake (03.06.08)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 cup cake flour \u00bc cup butter<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 \u00bd tsp baking powder <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00bc <span style=\"\">&nbsp;<\/span>tsp salt<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00bc tsp ground pepper<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00bd cup milk<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 egg<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Filling:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">250 g steak<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 onion <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">2 green chillies<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tsp salt<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">2 Tbsp oil<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tsp freshly ground black pepper<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tsp garlic paste <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tsp ginger<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00bd tsp crushed jeera<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">1 tsp salt<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">4 Tbsp dhanya <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">2 Tomatoes<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Method:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cube steak and cook in oil with spices until soft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finely chop onion, add to the steak and simmer until transparent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lastly add the chopped dhanya and stir.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Allowing filling to cool.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">To make a soft dough<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sift flour, baking powder, salt and pepper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rub soft butter into flour to resemble crumble.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Beat egg and add to milk<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Add egg \u0096 milk to mixture to dry ingredients and mix to form a soft, sticky dough.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Spoon \u00bd the dough into a pyrex dish <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Using the back of the spoon, cover the pyrex dish with much dough as possible<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Place cooked steak in the lined pyrex and top with sliced tomato.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Using a knife spread the remaining dough over the top of the tomato.
