{"id":8603,"date":"2007-09-03T02:06:40","date_gmt":"2007-09-03T00:06:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2007\/09\/03\/madras-fish\/"},"modified":"2007-09-03T02:06:40","modified_gmt":"2007-09-03T00:06:40","slug":"madras-fish","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/madras-fish\/","title":{"rendered":"Madras fish"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u><font face=\"Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" color=\"#0000ff\"> <\/font><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><u><strong>Ingredients :<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p>   900g fish<br \/>   juice of a lime<br \/>   2 tsp vinegar<br \/>   &frac34; cup fresh grated coconut<br \/>   1 tbsp ground ginger<br \/>   2 tbsp ground garlic<br \/>   450g tomatoes&nbsp; chopped<br \/>   30ml khus khus&nbsp; pounded<br \/>   2 tsp tamarind pulp<br \/>   75ml oil<br \/>   &frac14; tsp mustard seeds<br \/>   2 onions chopped finely<br \/>   12 curry leaves<br \/>   2 tsp coriander grounded<br \/>   &frac12; tsp arad<br \/>   2 tsp chilli powder<br \/>   salt to taste<br \/>   &frac12; tsp saumph and &frac12; tsp cumin pound together <\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong><u>Method :<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\">&#8211; Marinate the fish with lime juice and vinegar for half an hour.<br \/>   &#8211; Put the grated coconut into a liquidizer with the ginger, garlic, tomatoes    and poppy seeds. Blend well.<br \/>   &#8211; Soak the tamarind in 250ml hot water.<br \/>   &#8211; Heat oil in a shallow pan and add the mustard seeds.<br \/>   &#8211; When they start to splutter add the onions and fry until light golden brown.<br \/>   &#8211; Now add the curry leaves, coriander, arad and chilli. Stir fry for a minute.<br \/>   &#8211; Add the coconut mixture and stir fry.
