Allah asked, \u201cHow long have you remained \u02f9in this state\u02fa?\u201d He replied, \u201cPerhaps a day or part of a day.\u201d Allah said, \u201cNo! You have remained here for a hundred years! Just look at your food and drink\u2014they have not spoiled. \u02f9But now\u02fa look at \u02f9the remains of\u02fa your donkey! And \u02f9so\u02fa We have made you into a sign for humanity. And look at the bones \u02f9of the donkey\u02fa, how We bring them together then clothe them with flesh!\u201d1 When this was made clear to him, he declared, \u201c\u02f9Now\u02fa I know that Allah is Most Capable of everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here are some key points about the palatine bone:<\/p>\n

Where is it situated<\/strong><\/p>\n

Location:<\/strong> Allah has created the palatine bone in paired, meaning there are two palatine bones in the skull, one on each side. Each bone is shaped somewhat like an “L” and consists of a horizontal plate and a perpendicular plate. Together with the maxilla bone, the palatine bone forms the posterior (The opposite of anterior) two-thirds of the hard palate, providing support and stability for the structures of the mouth.<\/p>\n

Anatomy (structure):<\/strong> The horizontal plate of the palatine bone contributes to the posterior portion of the hard palate, which forms the roof of the mouth.<\/p>\n

Articulations:<\/strong> The palatine bone articulates with several other bones of the skull, including the maxilla(jaw or jawbone), sphenoid bone (still to be discussed), ethmoid bone (still to be discussed), and inferior nasal concha.<\/p>\n

Specialties Function:<\/strong> The palatine bone has several important functions in the body, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Structural support:<\/strong> The palatine bone helps to support and stabilize the surrounding facial structures, including the nasal cavity (inside of the nose), the hard palate, and the orbit (the cavity in the skull of a vertebrate that contains the eye; the eye socket).<\/p>\n

Respiratory function:<\/strong> The palatine bone plays a crucial role in the respiratory system by helping to support and protect the nasal cavity and the nasal septum.<\/p>\n
