{"id":8687,"date":"2007-09-03T02:58:23","date_gmt":"2007-09-03T00:58:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2007\/09\/03\/jam-surprise-doughnuts\/"},"modified":"2007-09-03T02:58:23","modified_gmt":"2007-09-03T00:58:23","slug":"jam-surprise-doughnuts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/jam-surprise-doughnuts\/","title":{"rendered":"Jam Surprise Doughnuts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p class=\"style2\" align=\"justify\"><b>Ingredients <\/b><br \/> 1 cup milk <br \/> 125g Butter <br \/> 3 tblsp Castor Sugar <br \/> 3 Eggs <br \/> 1 pkt instant yeast <br \/> 2 cups cake flour <br \/> 2 cups self raising flour <br \/> Pinch salt <br \/> Apricot Jam <\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p class=\"style2\" align=\"justify\"><b>Method<\/b> <br \/> \u0095&nbsp; Boil milk and set aside <br \/> \u0095&nbsp; Soften Butter and mix with castor sugar and add eggs one by one <br \/> \u0095&nbsp; Mix well and add yeast, sifted flour and salt <br \/> \u0095&nbsp; Gradually add the cooled boiled milk and mix to form dough <br \/> \u0095&nbsp; Cover dough and set aside to rise for approximately 2 hours <br \/> \u0095&nbsp; Once dough has risen oil hands lightly and make small balls <br \/> \u0095&nbsp; Using finger make a small dent in a ball and put \u00bd tsp of firm apricot jam inside (jam should not be soft or runny) <br \/> \u0095&nbsp; Carefully bring dough from the sides over to cover jam. Avoid pinching dough together as this will open when dough is frying. <br \/> \u0095&nbsp; Fry in moderately heated oil on both sides till golden brown <br \/> \u0095&nbsp; Allow to cool and roll in castor sugar <\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p class=\"style2\" align=\"justify\">Doughnuts should be fried slowly and not in very hot oil <\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p class=\"style2\" align=\"justify\">Doughnuts cab be fried plain, afterwards a slit can be made in each one and jam can be inserted.
