INGREDIENTS:<\/span><\/p>\n

170g self-raising flour<\/span><\/p>\n

170g stoned dates<\/span><\/p>\n

170g butter<\/span><\/p>\n

85g custor sugar<\/span><\/p>\n

1 tablespoon honey<\/span><\/p>\n

½ level teaspoon ground cinnamon<\/span><\/p>\n

2 tablespoons cold water<\/span><\/p>\n

1 tablespoon lemon juice<\/span><\/p>\n

METHOD:<\/span><\/p>\n

Grease a Swiss roll tin. Sieve flour and semolina. <\/span><\/p>\n

Melt butter over gentle heat and add sugar. When the sugar is dissolved, stir in flour and semolina. Mix well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spread half this mixture in the tin and press down well. <\/span><\/p>\n

Mix chopped dates, honey, spice, and water and lemon juice in a pan. Heat, stirring until smooth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spread this over mixture over the top<\/span><\/p>\n

Press lightly and bake in a moderate oven. <\/span><\/p>\n
