{"id":8736,"date":"2007-08-29T07:44:47","date_gmt":"2007-08-29T05:44:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2007\/08\/29\/braised-masala-chicken\/"},"modified":"2007-08-29T07:44:47","modified_gmt":"2007-08-29T05:44:47","slug":"braised-masala-chicken","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/braised-masala-chicken\/","title":{"rendered":"Braised masala chicken"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"+1\"><strong> <\/strong><\/font> <\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br \/>   <\/font><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\">1 x 1.5kg    chicken cut into pieces<br \/>   125ml Sunflower oil<br \/>   2 potatoes quartered<br \/>   2 onion finely chopped<br \/>   200ml water.<\/font><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\"><strong>Masala<\/strong><br \/>   <\/font><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\">2 tsps plain    ginger\/garlic masala<br \/>   Salt to taste<br \/>   1 tsps Crushed chillies<br \/>   1 tsps ground jeero\/cumin<br \/>   1 tsps ground cloves<br \/>   30ml lemon juice<br \/>   2 tsps peri peri sauce<\/font><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\"><strong>Method<\/strong><br \/>   <\/font><font face=\"Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\" size=\"-1\">Wash and    drain the chicken.<br \/>   Mix the ginger\/garlic, chillies, jeera\/cumin, masala cloves, lemon juice and    peri peri sauce to a paste.<br \/>   Rub into the chicken pieces and set aside.<br \/>   Heat oil in a saucepan and fry potatoes ion each side till browned, remove and    set aside.<br \/>   Add onions to the saucepan and braise till golden.<br \/>   Add chicken pieces and cook for about 15 minutes.<br \/>   Add water and cook further for 10 minutes over medium heat.<br \/>   Add potatoes and simmer until potatoes are well done.<br \/>   Serve with savory rice.<\/font><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"> <\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients 1 x 1.5kg chicken cut into pieces 125ml Sunflower oil 2 potatoes quartered 2 onion finely chopped 200ml water.
