font-size: 12pt\"><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1 chicken approximately 1kg<\/p>\n<p>1 big onion roughly chopped<\/p>\n<p>4 tablespoons fresh coconut peeled and grated<\/p>\n<p>&frac12; cup vegetable oil<\/p>\n<p>1 &frac12; teaspoon cumin seeds<\/p>\n<p>8 black peppercorns<\/p>\n<p>8 cloves<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon saumph<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon coriander seeds<\/p>\n<p>4 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander<\/p>\n<p>lemon wedges to serve<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Method:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Heat the oil in a heavy based pan.<\/p>\n<p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Add the cumin seeds, peppercorns, cloves, saumph, and coriander seeds.<\/p>\n<p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; When the seeds have stopped spluttering stir in the onion.<\/p>\n<p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Stir fry until light golden.<\/p>\n<p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Add the coconut and continue stirring until the mixture turns into a golden colour.<\/p>\n<p>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Turn off the heat and allow to cool slightly.<\/p>\n<p>7.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Blend very fine in a processor.<\/p>\n<p>8.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Meanwhile, wash and score the chicken deeply.<\/p>\n<p>9.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Place in the pan with the paste.<\/p>\n<p>10.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Mix thoroughly coating the chicken well.<\/p>\n<p>11.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sir fry on a medium heat for a few more minutes incorporating all the spices into the chicken.<\/p>\n<p>12.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cover and simmer until chicken is cooked.<\/p>\n<p>13.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Stir in half the chopped coriander and mix well.<\/p>\n<p>14.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Just before serving, transfer into a platter and garnish with the remaining coriander and lemon wedges.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients: &nbsp;
