{"id":8869,"date":"2008-10-23T12:38:11","date_gmt":"2008-10-23T10:38:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2008\/10\/23\/fish-carry-231008\/"},"modified":"2008-10-23T12:38:11","modified_gmt":"2008-10-23T10:38:11","slug":"fish-carry-231008","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/fish-carry-231008\/","title":{"rendered":"Fish Carry (23.10.08)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.5pt; font-family: Arial\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.5pt; font-family: Arial\">To make:<br \/> In a wide pot, sautee in some oil and ghee mix:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.5pt; font-family: Arial\">1\/2 tsp yellow mustard seeds<br \/> 1\/2 tsp sarso (i dont know what else this is called, its little black balls)<br \/> 1 tsp whole cumin<\/p>\n<p> Allow it to pop, and then add the finely sliced onions.<br \/> Pop the lid on, and switch to low. Allow the onions to soften, slowly and brown ever so slightly.<br \/> Add a few black peppercorns and 1 or 2 sprigs of curry leaf.<\/p>\n<p> Pour in 3 liquidised tomatoes and 1\/4 tsp sugar.<br \/> Pop the lid back on and cook for about 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<p> Add 1 green chilli and 1 tblspn red ginger garlic masala.<\/p>\n<p> Allow to cook until thick and pastey.<\/p>\n<p> In a seperate bowl \/ dish, add little less than a 1\/4 block of bornw tamarind. Add some water and soak.<br \/> using your hands, rub the seeds together, to release the flavour.<\/p>\n<p> Strain, and pour into the chutney.<\/p>\n<p> Allow to cook until thicken, add salt to taste and a dash of lemon juice.<br \/> Gently layer your fish in, pop the lid back on and switch the stove off.<\/p>\n<p> Garnish with fresh corinader, serve with rice. <\/p>\n<p> *Suitable fish &#8211; Redds, kingklip or anything firm enough for a curry *<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.5pt; font-family: Arial\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To make: In a wide pot, sautee in some oil and ghee mix: 1\/2 tsp yellow mustard seeds 1\/2 tsp sarso (i dont know what else this is called, its little black balls) 1 tsp whole cumin Allow it to pop, and then add the finely sliced onions.
