\u201cWhat\u2019s the use of me voting and they don\u2019t do nothing for us still? Our young people don\u2019t even have jobs. Me, myself, I don\u2019t have a job. We must rob people, run around. Sassa is not even enough for your children, because that\u2019s only R 530. R 530 can only buy milk,\u201d one voter said.<\/p>\n
Another Eldorado Park resident said that while the overall state of the district has improved, including a decrease in violence and an increase in employment opportunities, the future is uncertain and real change remains to be seen.<\/p>\n
However, there appears to be a shift in the younger demographic, with one registered voter saying that she will head to the polls at the end of the month, because \u201cit\u2019s important for us as youth to vote.
