{"id":8929,"date":"2010-11-09T15:26:55","date_gmt":"2010-11-09T13:26:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2010\/11\/09\/chicken-kebabs-9112010\/"},"modified":"2010-11-09T15:26:55","modified_gmt":"2010-11-09T13:26:55","slug":"chicken-kebabs-9112010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/chicken-kebabs-9112010\/","title":{"rendered":"Chicken Kebabs (9.11.2010)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">1 kg chicken breast fillets<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">5ml salt<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">5ml chilli powder<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">2,5ml ground jeera (cumin)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">5ml freshly ground black pepper<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">Juice of 1 lemon<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">5ml grated lemon rind<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">10ml garlic paste<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">1 green pepper, cubed<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">150g fresh button mushrooms<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">100g pickling onions, peeled and halved<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">30ml cooking oil<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">30ml butter, melted<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">Cube chicken breasts, wash and drain well. Combine chicken, seasonings, lemon juice and rind in a large bowl and mix well. Cover and allow to marinate for at least 3 hours. Thread chicken onto skewers alternating with green pepper, mushrooms<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">and onions. Grill over open fire, basting with mixture of melted butter and oil.
