Episode 2: Hudaibiyah, the clear victory
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Treaty of Hudaibiyah is described in the Qur’an as “an open victory” because this Treaty was in fact the forerunner of the Liberation of Makkah.<\/p>\n

Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Masud (RA) and some other Sahaba (RA) would say: “You think the conquest of Makkah is ‘Victory’ but we regard “the very Treaty of Hudaibiyah as the real ‘Victory’.<\/p>\n

Likewise, Bara’ Ibn `Azib (RA) said: “You think ‘Victory’ refers to the conquest of Makkah. No doubt, it does, but we think the Pledge of Ridwan on the occasion of Hudaibiyah is the ‘real victory’…”<\/p>\n
