Marriage to Uthman \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the sons of Abu Lahab divorced Ruqayyah RA and Umm KulthumRA, Rasulullah \ufdfa married Ruqayyah RA to Sayyidina \u2018Uthman ibn \u2018Affan RA in Makkah Mukarramah. Concerning this, \u2018ulama\u2019 have recorded some narrations:<\/p>\n

\u2018Abdullah ibn \u2018Abbas RA relates that Rasulullah \ufdfa said: \u201cAllah Ta\u2019ala revealed to me that I should marry my beloved daughter Ruqayyah to \u2018Uthman ibn \u2018Affan.\u201d Therefore, Rasulullah \ufdfa married Ruqayyah RA to \u2018Uthman ibn \u2018Affan RA in Makkah and sent her to his place.<\/p>\n

\u2018Ali RA mentioned regarding \u2018Uthman RA:<\/p>\n

Rasulullah \ufdfa married one daughter after another to him. [Kanz al \u2018Ummal vol. 6 pg. 379]<\/p>\n

Praises for Sayyidah Ruqayyah RA on the Tongues of the Women of Quraysh<\/strong><\/p>\n

The historians write that Allah favoured Ruqayyah RA with exceptional beauty. The author of Tarikh al Khamis in his history book and Muhib al Tabari in Dhakha\u2019ir al \u2018Uqba articulated it in the following words:<\/p>\n

Ruqayyah RA was a woman of exceptional beauty.<\/p>\n

When \u2018Uthman RA got married to her, the women of Quraysh of those days would envy this couple and express their beauty in the following words:<\/p>\n

The most beautiful couple ever seen by man, is Ruqayyah with her husband \u2018Uthman. [Tafsir al Qurtubi vol. 14 pg. 242 \u2013 (Surah al Ahzab)]<\/p>\n

Rasulullah \ufdfa had a servant by the name of Usamah ibn Zaid RA who was the son of Zaid ibn Harithah RA and reckoned among the distinct attendants of Rasulullah \ufdfa.<\/p>\n

Sayyidina Usamah RA says: \u201cRasulullah \ufdfa once sent me with a plate of meat to \u2018Uthman. When I entered his place, he was sitting with Ruqayyah. I have never seen a couple more beautiful than them. [Kanz al \u2018Ummal vol. 6 pg. 380 with reference to Baghawi]<\/p>\n

A gift from Rasulullah \ufdfa – Sayyidah Umm \u2018Ayyash <\/strong>\u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rasulullah \ufdfa had a servant by the name of Umm \u2018Ayyash RA who would be at his service and take care of household chores. Sayyidah Umm \u2018Ayyash says:<\/p>\n

\u0642\u0627\u0644\u062a \u0643\u0646\u062a \u0627\u0648\u0636\u0649 \u0631\u0633\u0648\u0644 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648 \u0633\u0644\u0645 \u0648 \u0627\u0646\u0627 \u0642\u0627\u0626\u0645\u0629 \u0648 \u0647\u0648 \u0642\u0627\u0639\u062f (\u0627\u062e\u0631\u062c\u0647\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u062b\u0644\u0627\u062b\u0629)<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would pour water for the wudu\u2019 of Rasulullah \ufdfa while standing and he was sitting. [Usd al Ghabah vol. 5 pg. 607]<\/p>\n

Regarding Umm \u2018Ayyash RA, narrations mention that Rasulullah \ufdfa gave her as a gift to Ruqayyah radiyallahu \u2018anha. Umm \u2018Ayyash RA would live at \u2018Uthman RA\u2019s place to serve Ruqayyah RA. It was a very kind action of Rasulullah \ufdfa to specially gift a servant to Ruqayyah RA to make her household chores easy.<\/p>\n

The Children of Sayyidah Ruqayyah RA<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u2018ulama\u2019 write that she miscarried an undeveloped fetus of \u2018Uthman RA in Abyssinia. She then gave birth to a son who was named \u2018Abdullah. Through him, the agnomen of \u2018Uthman RA became Abu \u2018Abdullah. When \u2018Abdullah was approximately six years of age, a rooster pecked him in the eye thus injuring him which caused his face to swell up. It did not heal and he passed away in this condition. (He passed away in Madinah after his mother in Jumad al Ula 4 A.H.) She did not have any other children after this.<\/p>\n

The Janazah and burial of \u2018Abdullah<\/strong><\/p>\n

Al Baladhuri and other scholars have written that when \u2018Abdullah ibn \u2018Uthman RA passed away, Rasulullah \ufdfa was extremely grieved.<\/p>\n

Regarding \u2018Abdullah ibn \u2018Uthman, Rasulullah \ufdfa picked him up and placed him in his lap. With tears flowing from his eyes he commented: \u201cIndeed, Allah shows mercy upon His compassionate servants.\u201d [Ansab al Ashraf vol. 1 pg. 401]<\/p>\n

Rasulullah \ufdfa performed the Salat al Janazah upon him and \u2018Uthman RA descended into the grave.<\/p>\n

Rasulullah \ufdfa participated in these sorrowful moments. He issued guidelines regarding his grandchild and accordingly all arrangements were made.<\/p>\n

Man has a natural bond with his offspring. Whenever a calamity befalls them, he is worried. This phase can only be crossed with perseverance and calmness which was displayed here.<\/p>\n
