Yemeni airstrike brings Israel to standstill<\/strong><\/p>\n Yemen\u2019s Houthi group on Sunday launched a surface-to-surface missile on Tel Aviv.<\/p>\n Reports indicate that a new hypersonic ballistic missile travelled a distance of 2\u00a0040km in 11,5 minutes to reach central Israel near the Ben Gurion airport.<\/p>\n The operation has been characterised as a qualitative operation to assess the speed and sophistication of the missile.<\/p>\n The attack, which is indicative of the group\u2019s increasing military capacity follows a number of broader military offensives, including attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea and drone attacks on Israel.<\/p>\n Abu Ubaida, spokesperson for the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in a press statement has praised the qualitative operation and the support from the Yemeni people.<\/p>\n \u201cThe nature of the weapon used in the operation, the type of target, and other details that our brothers in Yemen informed us constitute a qualitative shift that will have important effects on the course and outcomes of the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle,\u201d Abu Ubaida said.<\/p>\n Bread shortage in northern Gaza<\/strong><\/p>\n For over 10 days, Israel has stopped the delivery of fuel to bakeries in the northern part of the enclave. Additionally, supplies of critical ingredients such as flour, sugar and yeast have been dwindling for nearly a month.<\/p>\n Five out of the six functioning bakeries in the area have been forced to close.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve spoken about the genocidal intent for Israel for a long time, particularly in the north, and the fact that supply has been increased for a bit and decreased for a bit is indicative of how the Israelis are playing with the lives of the Palestinians, using famine as a lever of pressure,\u201d Moulana Ebrahim Moosa said.<\/p>\n The broader context within which this takes place is Israel\u2019s intended plan to depopulate and assume control of northern Gaza.<\/p>\n Israel begins recruiting African asylum-seekers for risky military operations in Gaza<\/strong><\/p>\n In a move that exposes the crisis faced by Israeli Occupation Forces, Israel has reportedly offered assistance to African asylum-seekers living there to obtain permanent resident status in return for contributions to their genocide in Gaza.<\/p>\n More than 30\u00a0000 African asylum-seekers currently reside in Israel and must periodically renew their documents at the Israeli Interior Ministry.<\/p>\n A Haaretz expos\u00e9 revealed several incidents in which Israeli police officers telephoned or approached asylum-seekers, telling them to report to certain facilities, where they made the offer.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Israeli personnel reportedly told him that we are looking for special people to join the army. This is a life and death war for Israel. We need all the assistance,\u201d Moulana Moosa said.<\/p>\n In addition to permanent residency, Israeli forces have reportedly offered financial rewards as an incentive to participate and have left the door open for negotiation with asylum-seekers who are hesitant to accept the offer.<\/p>\n The matter has sparked concern even among Israeli residents, \u201cwhere some people of conscience are saying that the Israeli state and army are preying on people who are most vulnerable,\u201d Moulana Moosa said. \u201cQuoting Haaretz, they say the war in Gaza has become a lever that drags the state into unknown abysses of warped behaviour,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n \u201cHaaretz reports on a number of incidents,\u201d Moulana Moosa told Radio Islam. \u201cPeople who are in this vulnerable state receiving calls from Israeli police officers\u2026telling them to report to certain facilities<\/p>\n
