The unseen includes realities that are beyond human perception \u2014 such as Allah\u2019s divine knowledge, Angels, the Hereafter, and the Decree (Qadr). While humans have limited access to the unseen, Allah, in His wisdom and mercy, has provided us with glimpses through the Holy Qur\u2019an, the teachings of the Prophet \ufdfa, and our spiritual intuition. Allah says:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0648\u064e\u0639\u0650\u0646\u062f\u064e\u0647\u064f\u06e5 \u0645\u064e\u0641\u064e\u0627\u062a\u0650\u062d\u064f \u0671\u0644\u0652\u063a\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0628\u0650 \u0644\u064e\u0627 \u064a\u064e\u0639\u0652\u0644\u064e\u0645\u064f\u0647\u064e\u0627\u0653 \u0625\u0650\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0627 \u0647\u064f\u0648\u064e<\/strong> <strong>\u06da<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him.\u201d (Al-An\u2019am 6: 59)<\/p>\n<p>This verse reminds us that the unseen is entirely within Allah\u2019s knowledge, and He reveals only what is beneficial for us. Understanding this nurtures our spirituality by increasing our trust in Him, strengthening our faith, and guiding us to live righteously.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Strengthening our Faith Through Belief in the Unseen<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Belief in the unseen (Iman bil-Ghayb) is the foundation of faith. True faith does not rely only on what we can see and touch but also on our conviction in the realities Allah has informed us about. Allah says:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0630\u064e\u0670\u0644\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0671\u0644\u0652\u0643\u0650\u062a\u064e\u0640\u0670\u0628\u064f \u0644\u064e\u0627 \u0631\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0628\u064e \u06db \u0641\u0650\u064a\u0647\u0650 \u06db \u0647\u064f\u062f\u064b\u0649 \u0644\u0651\u0650\u0644\u0652\u0645\u064f\u062a\u0651\u064e\u0642\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0671\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0630\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e \u064a\u064f\u0624\u0652\u0645\u0650\u0646\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e \u0628\u0650\u0671\u0644\u0652\u063a\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0628\u0650<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those who fear Allah \u2014 those who believe in the unseen&#8230;\u201d (Al-Baqarah 2: 2-3)<\/p>\n<p><em>How belief in the unseen nurtures spirituality:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It strengthens trust in Allah\u2019s wisdom, even when we do not understand His plans.<\/li>\n<li>It cultivates patience and perseverance in times of hardship.<\/li>\n<li>It encourages sincerity in worship, as we acknowledge that Allah is always watching.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Psychological studies suggest that people who believe in a higher purpose tend to be more resilient in dealing with life\u2019s challenges, aligning with the benefits of Iman bil-Ghayb.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>The Unseen World of Angels and Divine Assistance<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Islam teaches that angels (Mala&#8217;ika) are part of the unseen world, continuously serving Allah\u2019s command. They record our deeds, protect us, and play a role in divine interventions. Allah says:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0644\u064e\u0647\u064f\u06e5 \u0645\u064f\u0639\u064e\u0642\u0651\u0650\u0628\u064e\u0640\u0670\u062a\u064c \u0645\u0651\u0650\u0646\u06e2 \u0628\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0646\u0650 \u064a\u064e\u062f\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0645\u0650\u0646\u0652 \u062e\u064e\u0644\u0652\u0641\u0650\u0647\u0650\u06e6 \u064a\u064e\u062d\u0652\u0641\u064e\u0638\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e\u0647\u064f\u06e5 \u0645\u0650\u0646\u0652 \u0623\u064e\u0645\u0652\u0631\u0650 \u0671\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0647\u0650<\/strong> <strong>\u06d7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor each person, there are angels in succession before and behind him, protecting him by Allah\u2019s command.\u201d (Ar-Ra\u2019d 13: 11)<\/p>\n<p><em>How belief in angel\u2019s nurtures spirituality:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It reassures us that we are never alone, as angels are always present.<\/li>\n<li>It motivates us to be mindful of our actions, knowing they are recorded.<\/li>\n<li>It encourages reliance on Allah, as we believe in divine protection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> The Knowledge of the Hereafter \u2013 A Motivation for Righteousness<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>One of the greatest unseen realities is the Hereafter (Akhirah), including Paradise and Hell. Our limited knowledge of the unseen realities of the Hereafter serves as a test and a motivation for righteous living. The Prophet \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0647\u064f \u0639\u064e\u0632\u0651\u064e \u0648\u064e\u062c\u064e\u0644\u0651\u064e \u0623\u064e\u0639\u0652\u062f\u064e\u062f\u0652\u062a\u064f \u0644\u0650\u0639\u0650\u0628\u064e\u0627\u062f\u0650\u064a\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0635\u0651\u064e\u0627\u0644\u0650\u062d\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e \u0645\u064e\u0627 \u0644\u0627\u064e \u0639\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0646\u064c \u0631\u064e\u0623\u064e\u062a\u0652 \u0648\u064e\u0644\u0627\u064e \u0623\u064f\u0630\u064f\u0646\u064c \u0633\u064e\u0645\u0650\u0639\u064e\u062a\u0652 \u0648\u064e\u0644\u0627\u064e \u062e\u064e\u0637\u064e\u0631\u064e \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0642\u064e\u0644\u0652\u0628\u0650 \u0628\u064e\u0634\u064e\u0631\u064d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no heart has imagined what Allah has prepared for the righteous.\u201d (Bukhari 4779, Muslim 2824)<\/p>\n<p><strong>How knowledge of the Hereafter nurtures spirituality:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It instils a sense of accountability, reminding us that our actions have consequences.<\/li>\n<li>It provides hope and motivation to strive for Jannah (Paradise).<\/li>\n<li>It nurtures contentment, as we trust that worldly struggles are temporary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our Lord nurtures us spiritually by granting us access to aspects of the unseen in a way that strengthens our faith, deepens our understanding, and guides our actions.
