It is a tale of unwavering obedience to Allah, deep trust, and a powerful legacy that continues to impact millions of Muslims each year through the rituals of Hajj.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Divine Command to Leave Hajar RA and Ismail AS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the most pivotal moments in their relationship occurred when Allah commanded Ibrahim (AS) to take Hajar RA and their infant son, Ismail, to a barren desert \u2014 the valley of Makkah, which at the time had no inhabitants, vegetation, or water. Without questioning the divine command, Ibrahim (AS) complied, trusting entirely in Allah\u2019s wisdom.<\/p>\n<p>As narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari, when Hajar RA saw Ibrahim AS walking away after leaving her in the desert, she asked him:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cO Ibrahim! Where are you going? Are you leaving us in this valley where there is no one and nothing?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ibrahim (AS) did not respond. Then she asked:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong>\u0622\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0647\u064f \u0623\u064e\u0645\u064e\u0631\u064e\u0643\u064e \u0628\u0650\u0647\u064e\u0630\u064e\u0627\u061f<\/strong><strong>&#8220;<\/strong> \u201cHas Allah commanded you to do this?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ibrahim (AS) replied:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;\u0646\u064e\u0639\u064e\u0645\u0652&#8221;<\/strong> \u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong>\u0625\u0650\u0630\u064b\u0627 \u0644\u064e\u0627 \u064a\u064f\u0636\u064e\u064a\u0651\u0650\u0639\u064f\u0646\u064e\u0627<\/strong><strong>&#8221; <\/strong>\u201cThen He will not abandon us.\u201d al-Bukhari, 3364<\/p>\n<p>This response reflects the incredible faith and resilience of Hajar RA. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful.\u201d Ibrahim (14: 37)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This powerful du\u2018\u0101 not only reveals Ibrahim\u2019s deep care for Hajar and Ismail but also his long-term vision \u2014 that this barren valley would one day become a center of worship, thanks to their sacrifice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Sa\u2019i: A Tribute to Hajar\u2019s Struggle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Left alone with her child, Hajar RA ran between the hills of Safa and Marwah in search of water, desperately trying to save her son. Allah honoured her perseverance by causing the miraculous Zamzam spring to gush forth beneath the feet of baby Ismail. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs Umrah \u2014 there is no blame upon him for walking between them.\u201d Al-Baqarah (2: 158)<\/p>\n<p>This verse elevates Hajar RA\u2019s sacrifice to a divine symbol, honored in every pilgrimage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mutual Devotion in Obedience to Allah<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What stands out most in Ibrahim AS and Hajar RA\u2019s relationship is their shared devotion to Allah. Both were willing to bear separation and hardship, trusting entirely in divine wisdom. Hajar RA raised Ismail (AS) in this difficult environment, instilling in him the same obedience and submission that she and her husband exemplified. You will find me, if Allah wills, among the patient.\u201d As-Saffat (37: 102)<\/p>\n<p>This shared mission of obedience, trust, and love for Allah was the bedrock of Ibrahim AS and Hajar RA\u2019s relationship and the legacy they passed on to their descendants.<\/p>\n<p>The story of Ibrahim (AS) and Hajar (RA) is a shining example of a relationship built on faith, obedience, and patience. Ibrahim AS fulfilled Allah\u2019s command, even when it meant leaving his beloved wife and son in a desolate land.
