This episode is mentioned in several places in the Qur\u2019an and reflects Ibrahim\u2019s deep piety, exceptional hospitality, humility, and trust in Allah\u2019s divine plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Arrival of the Strangers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The story begins when unknown guests visited Ibrahim (AS), who greeted them with warmth and generosity. These were in fact angels in human form, sent by Allah \ufdfb with dual missions: to give Ibrahim AS glad tidings and to carry out the destruction of the people of Lut (AS).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0647\u064e\u0644\u0652 \u0623\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0649\u0670\u0643\u064e \u062d\u064e\u062f\u0650\u064a\u062b\u064f \u0636\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0641\u0650 \u0625\u0650\u0628\u0652\u0631\u064e\u0670\u0647\u0650\u064a\u0645\u064e \u0671\u0644\u0652\u0645\u064f\u0643\u0652\u0631\u064e\u0645\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e \u2022 \u0625\u0650\u0630\u0652 \u062f\u064e\u062e\u064e\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0627\u06df \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650 \u0641\u064e\u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0627\u06df \u0633\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0640\u0670\u0645\u064b\u06ed\u0627 \u06d6 \u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e \u0633\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0640\u0670\u0645\u064c\u06ed \u0642\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0645\u064c\u06ed \u0645\u0651\u064f\u0646\u0643\u064e\u0631\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHas there reached you the story of the honoured guests of Ibrahim? When they entered upon him and said, \u2018Peace.\u2019 He said, \u2018Peace, [to] a people unknown.\u2019\u201d Adh-Dh\u0101riy\u0101t (51: 24\u201325)<\/p>\n<p>Ibrahim (AS) noticed something unusual \u2014 though they greeted him with peace, he did not recognize them, and they did not eat his offering. Yet, he remained courteous and respectful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ibrahim\u2019s Immediate Hospitality<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>True to his noble character, Ibrahim (AS) did not delay in hosting his guests with the best he could offer:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0641\u064e\u0631\u064e\u0627\u063a\u064e \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u0649\u0670\u0653 \u0623\u064e\u0647\u0652\u0644\u0650\u0647\u0650\u06e6 \u0641\u064e\u062c\u064e\u0622\u0621\u064e \u0628\u0650\u0639\u0650\u062c\u0652\u0644\u064d\u06e2 \u0633\u064e\u0645\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064d\u06e2 \u2022 \u0641\u064e\u0642\u064e\u0631\u0651\u064e\u0628\u064e\u0647\u064f\u06e5\u0653 \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650\u0645\u0652 \u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e \u0623\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u062a\u064e\u0623\u0652\u0643\u064f\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf. And placed it near them; he said, \u2018Will you not eat?\u2019\u201d Adh-Dh\u0101riy\u0101t (51: 26\u201327)<\/p>\n<p>This gesture reflects Ibrahim AS\u2019s generosity, a trait he is renowned for. Even when entertaining strangers, he did so with dignity and abundance. This incident also exemplifies the Islamic value of hospitality (\u1e0diy\u0101fah), especially to guests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Fear and the Revelation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When Ibrahim (AS) noticed that the guests did not eat, he began to feel uneasy. In his time, not eating a guest\u2019s food was seen as a sign of hostility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0641\u064e\u0623\u064e\u0648\u0652\u062c\u064e\u0633\u064e \u0645\u0650\u0646\u0652\u0647\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u062e\u0650\u064a\u0641\u064e\u0629\u064b\u06ed \u06d6 \u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0627\u06df \u0644\u064e\u0627 \u062a\u064e\u062e\u064e\u0641\u0652 \u06d6 \u0648\u064e\u0628\u064e\u0634\u0651\u064e\u0631\u064f\u0648\u0647\u064f \u0628\u0650\u063a\u064f\u0644\u064e\u0640\u0670\u0645\u064d \u0639\u064e\u0644\u0650\u064a\u0645\u064d\u06e2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he felt from them apprehension. They said, \u2018Fear not,\u2019 and gave him glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.\u201d Adh-Dh\u0101riy\u0101t (51: 28)<\/p>\n<p>The angels quickly reassured him. Not only were they not enemies, they brought glad tidings: the birth of a righteous son, Ishaq AS \u2014 something Ibrahim AS and Sarah RA (his wife) had long prayed for.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarah\u2019s Amazement and the Power of Allah<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sarah (RA), standing nearby, reacted with astonishment upon hearing the news. Then We gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac, Jacob. She said, \u2018Woe to me! Shall I give birth while I am an old woman and this my husband is an old man? The mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, O people of the house. Indeed, He is Praiseworthy and Glorious.\u2019\u201d H\u016bd (11: 73)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Their Second Mission: The People of Lut (AS)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After delivering the glad tidings, the angels informed Ibrahim AS of their second mission: the destruction of the sinful people of Lut (AS).<\/p>\n<p>\u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e \u0641\u064e\u0645\u064e\u0627 \u062e\u064e\u0637\u0652\u0628\u064f\u0643\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u0623\u064e\u064a\u0651\u064f\u0647\u064e\u0627 \u0671\u0644\u0652\u0645\u064f\u0631\u0652\u0633\u064e\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e \u2022 \u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0653\u0627\u06df \u0625\u0650\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0622 \u0623\u064f\u0631\u0652\u0633\u0650\u0644\u0652\u0646\u064e\u0622 \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u0649\u0670 \u0642\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0645\u064d\u06e2 \u0645\u0651\u064f\u062c\u0652\u0631\u0650\u0645\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe said, \u2018Then what is your business, O messengers?\u2019 They said, \u2018Indeed, we have been sent to a criminal people.\u2019\u201d Adh-Dh\u0101riy\u0101t (51: 31\u201332)<\/p>\n<p>Ibrahim (AS), known for his compassion, pleaded on behalf of Lut AS\u2019s people \u2014 hoping for mercy. But Allah\u2019s command had been issued, and only Lut AS and his followers would be saved.<\/p>\n<p>This encounter between Ibrahim (AS) and the angelic visitors is rich in meaning. It shows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>His unmatched hospitality and nobility,<\/li>\n<li>His strong relationship with Allah,<\/li>\n<li>His trust and submission to Allah\u2019s will,<\/li>\n<li>His concern for others, even sinners,<\/li>\n<li>And the fulfilment of Allah\u2019s promises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The story beautifully captures Ibrahim AS\u2019s virtues and the honour he held in the sight of Allah.
