In Islam, it is a land:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blessed by Allah<\/li>\n<li>Tread upon by the Prophets AS<\/li>\n<li>Honoured by the Qur\u2019an and Sunnah<\/li>\n<li>And the stage of great divine events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From Ibrahim (AS) to \u2018Isa (AS), Shaam carried the footprints, voices, struggles, and victories of Allah&#8217;s greatest messengers AS.<\/p>\n<p>Let us walk through the journey of the Prophets AS in this sacred land.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Ibrahim (AS) \u2013 The First to Bring Tawhid to Shaam<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After being cast into the fire by Nimrod in Iraq, Ibrahim (AS) migrated to the blessed land:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ufd3f\u0648\u064e\u0646\u064e\u062c\u0651\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0646\u064e\u0627\u0647\u064f \u0648\u064e\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0637\u064b\u0627 \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0623\u064e\u0631\u0652\u0636\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0651\u064e\u062a\u0650\u064a \u0628\u064e\u0627\u0631\u064e\u0643\u0652\u0646\u064e\u0627 \u0641\u0650\u064a\u0647\u064e\u0627 \u0644\u0650\u0644\u0652\u0639\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e\u0645\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e\ufd3e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd We delivered him and Lut to the land We had blessed for all people.\u201d (Al-Anbiya 21: 71)<\/p>\n<p>This land was Shaam.<\/p>\n<p>There, Ibrahim AS built Masjid al-Khalil (Hebron) and called people to Allah. He also buried his beloved wife Sarah R in this land \u2014 her grave is still visited in Al-Khalil (Hebron) today.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong> Lut (AS) \u2013 Sent to the People of the Dead Sea<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Lut AS, the nephew of Ibrahim AS, was sent to a region near present-day Jordan and southern Palestine \u2014 the infamous cities around the Dead Sea.<\/p>\n<p>His mission in Shaam was a warning to the world about moral corruption \u2014 and the remains of his people still lie near the lowest point on earth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ufd3f\u0648\u064e\u0625\u0650\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u0644\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0645\u064f\u0631\u0651\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650\u0645\u0652 \u0645\u064f\u0635\u0652\u0628\u0650\u062d\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e\ufd3e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd indeed, you pass by them in the morning.\u201d (As-Saffat 137)<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> Musa AS \u2013 The Hope of Entering the Holy Land<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After escaping Pharaoh and journeying through the desert, Musa AS longed to enter the Holy Land (Al-Ard Al-Muqaddasah) \u2014 a part of Shaam.<\/p>\n<p>He said:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ufd3f\u064a\u064e\u0627 \u0642\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0645\u0650 \u0627\u062f\u0652\u062e\u064f\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0623\u064e\u0631\u0652\u0636\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0645\u064f\u0642\u064e\u062f\u0651\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0629\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0651\u064e\u062a\u0650\u064a \u0643\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0628\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0647\u064f \u0644\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0645\u0652\ufd3e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cO my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has written for you.\u201d (Al-Ma\u2019idah 21)<\/p>\n<p>Because of the people\u2019s disobedience, Musa AS was denied entry. Before his death, he supplicated:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0647\u064f\u0645\u0651\u064e \u0623\u064e\u062f\u0652\u0646\u0650\u0646\u0650\u064a \u0645\u0650\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0623\u064e\u0631\u0652\u0636\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0645\u064f\u0642\u064e\u062f\u0651\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0629\u0650 \u0631\u064e\u0645\u0652\u064a\u064b\u0627 \u0628\u0650\u062d\u064e\u062c\u064e\u0631\u064d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cO Allah, bring me close to the Sacred Land, even by a stone\u2019s throw.\u201d (Bukhari)<\/p>\n<p>He is buried near Jericho, at the edge of Palestine \u2014 looking toward the land he yearned for.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Dawud &amp; Sulayman AS \u2013 The Kingdom of Divine Rule in Jerusalem<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Prophets Dawud AS and Sulayman AS ruled their divinely guided kingdom from Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem).<\/p>\n<p>Under them, the land of Shaam saw:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unmatched justice<\/li>\n<li>The building of Masjid Al-Aqsa<\/li>\n<li>Spiritual, military, and political glory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\ufd3f\u0648\u064e\u0644\u0650\u0633\u064f\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0645\u064e\u0627\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0631\u0651\u0650\u064a\u062d\u064e \u063a\u064f\u062f\u064f\u0648\u0651\u064f\u0647\u064e\u0627 \u0634\u064e\u0647\u0652\u0631\u064c \u0648\u064e\u0631\u064e\u0648\u064e\u0627\u062d\u064f\u0647\u064e\u0627 \u0634\u064e\u0647\u0652\u0631\u064c<\/strong><strong>\u2026\ufd3e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd to Sulayman We subjected the wind \u2014 its morning (journey) was a month, and its evening (journey) was a month\u2026\u201d (Saba 12)<\/p>\n<p>Their court was not only royal \u2014 it was filled with divine inspiration, miracles, and remembrance of Allah.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong> Zakariyya (AS), Yahya (AS), and Maryam (AS)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Bayt al-Maqdis was also home to the family of \u2018Imran, the pious men of Allah and Prophets AS.<\/p>\n<p>Maryam AS was raised in the sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p>Zakariyya AS prayed for a child there.<\/p>\n<p>Yahya AS was born, lived, and was martyred in this blessed land.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ufd3f\u0643\u064f\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0645\u064e\u0627 \u062f\u064e\u062e\u064e\u0644\u064e \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u064e\u0627 \u0632\u064e\u0643\u064e\u0631\u0650\u064a\u0651\u064e\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0645\u0650\u062d\u0652\u0631\u064e\u0627\u0628\u064e \u0648\u064e\u062c\u064e\u062f\u064e \u0639\u0650\u0646\u062f\u064e\u0647\u064e\u0627 \u0631\u0650\u0632\u0652\u0642\u064b\u0627\ufd3e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhenever Zakariyya entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision\u2026\u201d (Aal \u2018Imran 37)<\/p>\n<p>Their legacy of devotion still echoes in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong> \u2018Isa (AS) \u2013 His Life, Message, and Return Are All in Shaam<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>No prophet is more connected to Shaam than \u2018Isa (AS):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He was born in Bayt Lahm (Bethlehem)<\/li>\n<li>He preached in Palestine<\/li>\n<li>He performed miracles throughout Shaam<\/li>\n<li>And he will descend at the White Minaret of Damascus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Prophet \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Isa will descend at the White Minaret, east of Damascus.\u201d (Muslim 2937)<\/p>\n<p>This confirms: the final chapter of human history will unfold again in Shaam \u2014 the land of Prophets AS.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Introduction: Why Is Shaam So Central in Our Sacred History?
