      In recent times, the people of Shaam continue to endure oppression and war, with many being martyred in Syria and Palestine. Their sacrifices today echo the past, serving as powerful reminders of resilience, resistance, and devotion to Allah.<\/em><\/p>\n

      Shaam in the Signs of the Last Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Shaam \u2014 comprising Syria, Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon \u2014 holds a central place not only in Islamic history but also in the major and minor signs of the Last Day (Ashr\u0101\u1e6d as-S\u0101\u2018ah), as mentioned in authentic ahadith.<\/p>\n

        Narrated Zaid bin Thabit RA:<\/p>\n

        “We were with the Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) collecting the Qur’an on pieces of cloth, so the Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) said: ‘Tuba is for Ash-Sham.’ So we said: ‘Why is that O Messenger of Allah?’ He said: ‘Because the angels of Ar-Rahman spread their wings over it.'” (Tirmidhi)<\/p>\n

        Shaam is often referred to as \u201cthe heartland of the believers\u201d during times of fitnah (tribulation).<\/p>\n

        1. Major Signs of the Last Day Linked to Shaam<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Several pivotal End-Time events will take place in Shaam, particularly in Syria and Jerusalem:<\/p>\n

          Descent of \u2018Isa (AS) <\/em><\/p>\n

          The Prophet \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n

          \u201cHe (\u2018Isa) will descend near the white minaret in the east of Damascus…\u201d (Sahih Muslim)<\/p>\n

          He will lead the believers, slay the Dajjal (Antichrist), and restore justice.<\/p>\n

          The Appearance of the Mahdi<\/em><\/p>\n

          Though his exact emergence is not definitively tied to Shaam, the Mahdi will eventually move to Shaam and unite the believers there.<\/p>\n

          The Great Battles (Malhamah Kubra)<\/em><\/p>\n

          A massive confrontation between the forces of truth and falsehood will occur in Shaam, especially near Dabiq, a town in northern Syria.<\/p>\n

          Dajjal\u2019s Fitnah<\/em><\/p>\n

          The Dajjal will emerge from the East, but his most significant opposition and defeat will take place in Shaam, especially at the hands of \u2018Isa (AS).<\/p>\n

          Jerusalem (Bayt al-Maqdis)<\/em><\/p>\n

          It will be a centre of faith and refuge near the end of times.<\/p>\n

          Shaam is not just a historical and religious heartland \u2014 it is a theatre for the unfolding of the End-Time events foretold by the Prophet \ufdfa.
