She was taken captive from the army of Abrahah \u2015 who planned to destroy the Ka\u2019bah. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>She lived the initial stages of her life as the servant girl of \u2018Abdullah ibn \u2018Abdul Muttalib, Rasulullah\u2019s \ufdfa father. \u2018Abdullah passed away at a young age, prior to the birth of Rasulullah \ufdfa so she was inherited by his unborn son. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Sayyidah Umm Ayman \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627 served as Rasulullah\u2019s \ufdfa nurse maid in his infancy. After the demise of his beloved mother Aaminah, she played the role of his mother, caring for him and nurturing him. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Rasulullah \ufdfa would say affectionately, \u201cUmm Ayman is my mother after my biological mother.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marriage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rasulullah \ufdfa freed Sayyidah Umm Ayman\u00a0\u00a0 \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627 when he married Khadijah \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627. [Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 4375; Siyar A\u2019lam al Nubala\u2019, vol. 2 pg. 224.] She first married \u2018Ubaid ibn Zaid, from the Banu al Harith ibn al Khazraj, and gave birth to their son, Ayman. Sayyidina Ayman RA made hijrah and participated in the battles. He was martyred during the lifetime of Rasulullah \ufdfa. [Al Isabah, vol. 8 pg. 359; Munasarat al Sahabah al Afariqah, pg. 42; Tanwir al Ghabash, pg. 148]<\/p>\n<p>After the passing of her first husband, Rasulullah \ufdfa announced, \u201cWhoever desires to marry a woman from the dwellers of Jannat should marry Umm Ayman.\u201d [Tabaqat al Kubra, Hadith: 10345.]<\/p>\n<p>Rasulullah\u2019s \ufdfa adopted son, Sayyidina Zaid ibn Harithah \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627 married her. They had a child whom they named Usamah.\u00a0\u00a0 \u0631\u0636\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647\u0627 [Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 4375; al Bidayah wa al Nihayah, vol. 2 pg. 301; Tabaqat al Kubra, vol. 8 pg. 162.] Here you have a family, each one of them are close to the heart of Rasulullah \ufdfa. A blessed beloved family indeed!<\/p>\n<p>She embraced Islam in the early stages and pledged allegiance to Rasulullah \ufdfa. She has the great fortune of participating in both emigrations, the emigration to Abyssinia and then to Madinah, and is reckoned among the first emigrants. Abyssinia was her home land.
