Aamli Chutney (Tamarind)

Requirments:

6 Dry Red Chillies (Soak over night in water)
6 Cloves Garlic
1/4 Cup Vinegar
1/4 Cup Tamarind Juice
Salt to taste
1 Tbsp. Oil
1 Tsp. Mustard Seeds

Method:

  1. Liquidise Garlic and Chillies with Vinegar until a very smooth sauce result.
  2. Add tamarind and salt to sauce.
    mix very well
  3. Fry Mustard Seeds in oil and when they stop spluttering add to chutney.
  4. Cool and bottle tightly.
    Serve with dry meats and saouries.

    Variation:
    Add Tomato Sauce to Chutney.
