ActionSA on coalitions and report that Herman Mashaba may leave

ActionSA has launched a consultative dialogue with Gauteng residents on the future of coalitions after the spectacular collapse of the Johannesburg multi-party coalition it was part. The move follows a decision by ActionSA’s Senate last week to review its approach to all coalition governments in the Province.

Radio Islam International discusses these and other ActionSA news with the party’s Lerato M’ngobeni.

ActionSA was formed due to a process called the People’s Dialogue. Ngubeni said ever since ActionSA has been in the political space, the party has fought to maintain the people’s dialogue approach.

According to M’ngobeni’s assessment, the collapse of the coalition results from political immaturity being at play.

The only plan centring the form of a coalition government is delivering services that are much needed to residents of any municipality across the country.

Government stability is needed for the people to receive the goods and services they require.

Meanwhile, the recent comments by Haman Mashaba seem to have grabbed headlines.

According to M’ngobeni, Mashaba has merely stated to remain consistent in its stance that the people of South Africa need to realise that for the country to survive. The ANC has got to be brought straight down regarding electoral support.

She says, “The ANC has shown that they have mismanaged our country for almost 30 years.”

She added that Mashaba has never changed his position. But was merely trying to paint a picture that people would be disillusioned.

Listen below to the interview with Moulana Sulaimaan Ravat and Lerato M’ngobeni on Radio Islam’s podcast.
