Apple has unveiled three new iPhones in its smartphone range of handsets, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max which it says is the most powerful and advanced iPhone it has ever built.
The iPhone Pro features a new Super Retina XDR display which Apple says has a 2 million-to-1 contrast ratio, 1,200 nits of brightness, and is 15% more power-efficient than previous-generation panels.
Apple says the A13 Bionic is the fastest chip ever in a smartphone, provides unparalleled performance for every task iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max handle and features up to 20 percent faster CPU and GPU than A12.
The A13 Bionic is built for machine learning, with a faster Neural Engine for real-time photo and video analysis, and new Machine Learning Accelerators that allow the CPU to deliver more than 1 trillion operations per second.
A new triple-camera system provides a pro-level camera experience with a 12MP Ultra Wide, 12MP Wide and 12MP Telephoto camera, delivering improvements to low-light photography and offering the highest quality video.
All three cameras are capable of shooting 4K 60fps video with slow-motion, time-lapse, and other functionality.
iPhone 11 Pro has a leap in battery, offering up to four more hours of battery life in a day than iPhone XS, and iPhone 11 Pro Max offering up to five hours more than iPhone XS Max.
Other important features of the iPhone 11 Pro include water and dust resistance, Wi-Fi 6, a stronger cellular connection, wireless charging, and enhanced Face ID biometric security.
iPhone 11 will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models in purple, green, yellow, black, white and PRODUCT(RED) starting at £729 (R13,199).
The iPhone 11 Pro is available in 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch models and comes in Midnight Green, Space Grey, Silver, and a new Gold finish.
The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be available in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB starting at £1,049 (R18,993) and £1,149 (R20,804), respectively.
The new iPhone 11 Pro models will be available for pre-order on Friday 13 September and will begin shipping on 20 September.
