460g Flour
58g sugar
1 tsp salt
1 egg
58g butter
150 ml buttermilk
1 pkt yeast with 90 ml cold water
Mix the yeast and water and keep aside
Add all the other ingredients together and then add yeast mixture
Knead for 10 minutes and then let it rise until double in size.
Please note that these measurements are accurate. You can add a little flour if it’s a bit sticky.
CREME FILLING:
2 cups milk
1/3 cups castor sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract or essence
Heat these 3 ingredients together in a pot on the
stove. Do not boil.
In a separate bowl add:
2 egg yolks
1 tbls Custard powder
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup cornflour
Mix all this together
Add some of the warm milk mixture to the egg mix

Heat these 3 ingredients together in a pot on the stove. Do not boil.
In a separate bowl add:

1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup cornflour
Mix all this together
Add some of the warm milk mixture to the egg mix and whisk together.
Add the mixture to the pot on the stove and whisk on low heat until thick.
Pour over into a bowl and wrap with cling film until cold.
After dough is double in size, roll out, and cut into round shapes, I used a small glass.
Let it rise again and then fry into hot oil.
Let it cool and then pipe with the Creme filling. Dip doughnuts into melted chocolate, I used one slab of Dairy milk chocolate.
This doughnut is also perfect for just dipping it into cinnamon sugar, or you could fill it with Nutella, cream, Lotus biscoff ect
