A collection of hair care tips and solutions

 

Name one woman who has never been concerned about her hair. We are always trying to make it look more beautiful, healthier, thicker, more bouncy, more lustrous and just more gorgeous. Hair care is not just a quick shampoo; in fact most of us have just a little extra regimen to take care of it. As one keeps a daily routine to clean the body, hair too should be cleaned the same way. Longer the hair more care they require. As dust and dirt sticks on hair they require more care when it comes to cleaning and it should be in one's daily routine.

Firstly, if you pick out a shampoo for oily hair when your hair is actually dry, it will only damage your hair. Understanding the kind of hair you have is important; the proof lies in that nearly all shampoo brands produce different products for different kinds of hair. Your hair can be oily, dry or balanced. Find out what your hair type is so you can nourish it better.
So depending on the hair type and keeping in mind the hair problems on suffers, one should maintain their hair care. One should wash hair properly with a good shampoo, which is their hair type, as for dry hair a shampoo that is specially made for dry hair should be used. Try to avoid using a hairdryer to dry your hair, let it rather dry naturally.

TIPS FOR HEALTHY SHINY HAIR…..

For Healthy and Shiny hair It is better to apply castor oil for a healthy growth of hair. Wash hair with tea once in a week.

Apply the mixture of an egg white, 2 spoon of castor oil, 1 spoon glycerine, in the scalp and hair. Wash it after some time. Massage hair with warm coconut oil an hour before washing. Let it soak. Cover your head with a hot towel and wash your hair after an hour or so.  Do a 'steam-towel-wrap' once in a while, if your cuticles are damaged, as this steaming opens out the pores and absorbs the oil. Mix a little vinegar in warm water and rinse your hair with this solution. This will add bounce to dull and lifeless hair. Soak 1 teaspoon fenugreek/methi in curd and keep it for a night. Have it in the next morning. Boil coconut oil with the juices of curry leaves, basil, hibiscus flower and gooseberry. Apply on hair, keep it for sometime and rinse.

Egg white and curd is a good conditioner for hair.  Take a cup of coconut and mustard oils. Soak half a cup of curry leaves in the oil mixture and keep it for a night. Next morning, heat on a slow fire till the curry leaves turn crisp. Remove from heat and add two to three camphor balls. Allow oil to cool and then strain. Apply oil to hair roots using cotton wool along the parting and massage in circular movements. Leave the oil overnight and shampoo the next morning. Repeat twice a week.

SOME HOMEMADE RECIPES…..

For strong and beautiful hair you can mix 2 egg yolks (depending on length of your hair) with 2 tsp. castor oil. Massage this mixture on your hair. Keep it for sometime then rinse it thoroughly. Whip up two raw eggs. Pour this mixture on your hair by massaging. Let it dry. Shampoo your hair and then give vinegar and water rinse. Follow this procedure every month for soft and smooth hair. Beat egg yolk thoroughly to make a frothy solution. Add 1 tsp baby oil and beat again to make a proper mixture. Add water to this mixture and apply it all over your scalp. Once dry, rinse well to get a proper conditioned treatment.
 
Mix egg yolk in 1/4 cup of yogurt with a little lime skin. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and apply it to every single strand of hair. After applying keep it for 10 minutes and then wash it off. The combination of yogurt and egg is very good for your hair. Mix a whole egg to lemon juice. Whisk it properly. Once applied on your hair keep it for sometime. Rinse it thoroughly. This combination gives a shine to your dull hair.
 

Beat egg yolk to make a frothy paste. Add 1/2 tsp. olive oil and beat the mixture again. Slowly and steadily add 3/4 cup of luke warm water. After shampooing, massage this conditioner and leave it for few minutes. Rinse it later.It is a good hair treatment for people who are in water most of the times like swimmers, surfers etc. Mix egg, olive oil and peeled cucumber to make a good mixture. Spread it evenly on your hair and keep it for 10 minutes. Rinse it thoroughly. Mix together 1 tbsp. honey, 1 egg yolk, 1/2 tsp. almond oil and 1 tbsp. yogurt. Make a frothy paste and apply it on your hair. Rinse it in 1/2 hours time. This will smooth your hair and moisturize it evenly.

TIPS FOR DANDRUFF………..

Massage the Scalp with pure coconut oil. This will also help for growth of hair.

Apply coconut oil which has been boiled with small onions. Wash it off with a mixture of green gram powder and water drained from cooked (boiled) rice. Apply a mixture of almond oil and gooseberry juice with finger tips on the scalp. Apply the warm mixture of olive oil, lemon juice and coconut oil. Do a steam -towel- wrap for 15 minutes and wash the hair with a shampoo. Apply a paste of fenugreek and mustard to the scalp. Crush the leaves of five petal hibiscus flower and take the juice. Wash the hair with this juice. Heat the oil with a little camphor. Apply the oil in the scalp and massage for 10 minutes. After 30 minutes wash the hair with a herbal shampoo. Do the steam -towel- wrap for  15 minutes.

LOVELY HAIR RINSES………..

Apple Cider Softening Hair Rinse
Mix 1-2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar with 3 cups distilled water.

Directions: Pour over your hair as the final rinse. It will leave your hairfeeling soft. Good for all hair types.

 
Shiny Hair Rinse

Mix the juice from 1/2 lemon, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 1 cup
of water.

Directions: Shampoo and rinse hair as usual, then pour the mixture on your hair and massage into the scalp. Rinse with cool water.
