Charlotte Maxeke Hospital Had No Fire-Fighting Measures In Place

The fire that led to the closure of the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Hospital, is the fourth hospital fire in Gauteng in six years.
At the same time, past inspections of Gauteng public hospitals have revealed widespread lack of compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
This is according to the DA’s Shadow Minister of Health in Gauteng, Jack Bloom.
A fire at the head office of the Gauteng Health Department in the Bank of Lisbon building in September 2018, claimed the lives of two firefighters.
Radio Islam spoke to Jack Bloom regarding this information.
