The City of Johannesburg is going green and has urged municipal account holders to register and receive their statements electronically.
Finance MMC for the City of Johannesburg Funzela Ngobeni says receiving a municipal bill via email compared to post is easy and convenient.
She says the city is determined to provide easy and accessible services to our people.
“This would reduce the amount of money spent that is used to print and post municipal statements, money that could be spent to create better infrastructure, and provide essential and necessary services”.
Ngobeni says there are a number of benefits of receiving municipal accounts by e-mail including accessing statements from anywhere in the world.
