I would like to nominate the Muazzin of our Masjid to win the Umrah trip Insha Allah.

By the Grace and Mercy of Allah, the community and particularly the musallees
of Masjid-us-Saliheen are indeed blessed to have a muazzin of the caliber of Hafiz Yahya.
Hafiz Yahya has been the muazzin of our masjid since its inception around May of the year 2011. Initially when the masjid was built the muezzin’s residence was
not completed and Hafiz Yahya was living approximately a kilometre away from the masjid. During this time, he used to walk to and fro from his place of residence to the masjid.
Hafiz Yahya has been a dedicated muazzin in all the years and always punctual with calling out the adhaan. His melodious voice is enough to instill in the hearts of Muslims of the community to hasten to the call of salaah.
Apart from the responsibility of calling out the Adhaan, Yahya also takes care of the cleanliness and neatness of the masjid and its precincts. Even on his days off, he still takes responsibility for the Fajr, Magrib and Esha Adhaan.
As a devout Muslim Yahya has been engaged in teaching reverts and other Muslims who have little understanding of Islam in his own time as well as teaching young children the recitation of the Quraan.
In our communities when certain issues arise in the masjid, people always run to the muazzin “why this and why that”, where are the towels in the wudhu khana and paper rolls in the toilets etc., not realising that most of our muazzins have a full time job for which our communities show little or no respect.
Despite all pitfalls of the job of the muazzin, Yahya always handles any situation with a smile and a calm way without the slightest offence to any person.
Apart from being a Hafiz-ul-Quraan, Yahya is also talented in reciting Urdu naats and nazams.
May Allah (SWT) protect him and keep him for a long time in our community and may he be successful in this endeavour.
